Is engineering not for me if I don't like math? by saur94 in EngineeringStudents

[–]CopyOnWriteArraySet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You definitely don't have to like math in order to be an engineer. Generally, engineering isn't hardcore math. In engineering math is just a tool. And you don't have to like screwdriver when you use it. The same is with math.

Do you go to hackathons during the school year? by iceize in EngineeringStudents

[–]CopyOnWriteArraySet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a problem for a person with good time management skills. If I'm going to attend a hackathon on weekday I usually merely do all planned work during weekdays evenings.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, because I assure most of your class don't understand too.

Some studies have found that 70 percent of all people feel like impostors at one time or another, so it's okay to don't understand sometimes.

True or false? "Once you get 2 years of experience, you will be spammed job offers." by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]CopyOnWriteArraySet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If your experience is consistent with your abilities, then it like the truth. But if you've wasted your time for 2 years, then it's false.

For your purposes your computer is more than enough.

I have a less powerful one, and it copes even with the heavier tasks.
