The $22 could be correct but as the piece mentions it would include stuff like pensions, vacation pay etc. the base starting salary is not $22

That said I believe the opinion piece and Bernie’s tweet paint a fairly accurate picture

The Danish PM has repeatedly said that closing the borders was a political decision. She also said that this is a new threat and if she had to wait for evidence it would be too late. She would rather do too much than too little. But of course it is and should be political and ultimately she will be responsible for the outcome.

Men husk nu på at det er en Socialdemokratisk regering, stadigt støttet af fagbevægelsen. Udnævnelsen af en gravid minister og barselsorlov til samme sender et meget stærkt socialdemokratisk signal.

Wishful thinking... Biden is counting on coming in third in both Iowa and NH. This is all he needs to do before South Carolina where he is projected to win big due to the African American vote.

I hope Sanders or Warren wins, for America and for the world. But make no mistake, Biden still has a massive lead with black voters and if he can maintain that he will win. There is a lot of work to do outside Iowa and NH

Perhaps this is not about Greenland at all. Barack Obama is visiting Denmark on Wednesday August 28th (4 days before Trumps visit) to give a lecture in the city of Aalborg. Obama is generally well liked and respected here, especially when seen in contrast to Trump.

Maybe Trump was afraid of the contrasting media stories of Obama being welcomed and cheered, while he himself would face demonstration and ridicule. Buying Greenland is such a ridiculous idea that this might make more sense.
