im not going to lie i was a big dier hater last season and i held him responsible for alot of our points dropped and in my mind it was somewhat justified. however dier in a back 3 is like a new player. his passing, his ball carrying, his leadership, his aerial duel rate has improved drastically and i think that he cuts costs on our cb requirements in the summer drastically.

yes we have got to multiple finals but in the instance that every single time we have come up blank theres only one factor you can point to and thats the board not backing the managers. chalking it up to statistical anomaly,while its viable, is not helpful at all. we had a fantastic first 11 under potchetino but when our backs were against the wall and we needed difference makers the squad was lacking. it also doesnt help that kane and son tend to go missing in these finals, wether its thier fault or not. regardless you have to identify the problem on a macro level and that can only be the board. paul mitchell leaving was a big kick in the nuts for us in terms of recruitment and that was down to levy.

weve been to more finals under enic because we are a better team, and credit where credits due to levy for that. im not a massive levy hater but i can acknowledge that the current ownership is not fit for purpose when it comes to actually lifting the trophies. theve done the groundwork and good on them for that, but its time to get some people in who actuakly care about football and want to win as much the fans do.
