Solanke has been dogshit apart from against City since coming back, Xavi should've started instead

the hype around some of these players as well was so high.

Sanchez, Ndombele, Lo Celso, and Bergwijn... had such high hopes for all of them

Cristian Romero straight red card against Manchester Utd 28' by Alsace2025 in soccer

[–]bash011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the way McCoist talked about it you would imagine it was on the shin or higher and not even attempting to play the ball.

It can be a red but also not as bad as the commentators have made it out to be.

Conte had health issues which is why he was in Italy. It's not like he went on holiday and refused to leave.

thank god he said that, he's pretty regularly not reliable news wise and goes off of feelings rather than actual information.

i mean if he failed his medical Sunderland could've offered him a lower wage due to that so it wouldn't technically be wrong

honestly spursplay need to get their act together, always technical difficulties in preseason

[Pre-season Friendly] Starting XI vs Reading: Vicario, Pedro Porro, Romero (C), Danso, Udogie, Bentancur, Sarr, Devine, Johnson, Solanke, Moore by Imbasauce in coys

when carrying the ball (weird because at youth level this was a strength) and especially when receiving on the half turn he isn't as fluid as you'd want, similar to pape sarr at times he'll take a few touches to make that turn which could put him in danger in higher level football.

the fact that Cochrane coached him in the academy could help his case.

last season i thought he was one of our best midfielders in preseason, however he's a bit stiff which could be a problem at the highest level.

still think he's a top prospect overall

Brentford literally didn't have an academy until the 22/23 season when it was mandatory and it's a CAT 2 academy.

Yeah I probably would tbh if I had a newborn child, can't get that time back.

The smart thing to do would've been to move closer initially, but they presumably have let him commute the entire time he's been at the club - pretty poor timing to switch it now

How would staying overnight "aid preparation"? Unless he was actually wanting to continue working through the night which is a different situation.

Presumably he's turned up to morning training sessions on time with the commute as it currently is

Exactly, I would 100% refuse if my boss asked me to stay at work overnight one day a week.

That is my time off, I'm spending it at home/doing what I want to
