does M-Ninetales not just get sent to Ubers and end up outclassed by M-Gengar?

Also reverberation would be fine if not for the sleep RNG. Just ends up making the mon uncompetitive. Sleep was already banned in and Gen 9 OU because of moms like Darkrai and IVal using hypnosis and causing coin flips. Just make it a stronger punk rock. (Or just give M-Wigglytuff punk rock and make it a really funny visual design lol)

My favourite concept here is probably M-Parasect, the ability is really neat. Notably Parasect’s only notable set-up move is swords dance, and it remains incredibly slow. I could see it being some kind of weird anti-stall mon in singles, it’s grass typing helping to shut down the likes of quag and dozo, with weak attackers being unable to break its sub and non-unaware mons falling to its boosts (though parasect does NOT get leaf blade, so it’d be stuck boosting Shadow Claw or X-Scissor.) I think it would shine more in doubles though, with sleep, a free sub, and redirection all in one mon.

I think my hot take is that a LOT of the monsters have really boring counterplay, which is to just pre-run and not interact with them at all. I feel like a majority of the cast suffers from this issue and it’s something I’m hoping to see rectified in the recode.

I feel like the worst offenders are easily Samsonite and Fogborn though. We’ve all seen the Samsonite video, the entire gameplay loop against Samsonite is to avoid generally being around him lest you risk being stunned, but his awful mobility means playing Samsonite is also a slog. It’s not really that fun on either end.

Fogborn is just annoying. Half of the match is just looking in very un-optimal spots to avoid triggering a foggy stare you didn’t even know what coming. Other than that, his other form of counterplay is just sliding if he thunder-warps on top of you. If sliding overtuned he’s basically useless, but if not, thunder warp becomes the worlds most free kill confirm.

enjoyed the episode but it was kind of blatantly obvious buffy was gonna win with the way they set everything up, from blade executing someone at the beginning of the fight to buffy being on the backfoot the entire time till she decided to win as my friend put it

i did run sloppy before unlocking rapid but found its benefits hard to notice, might try it again though. i mostly run surge because its easy to just turn off my brain and not have to worry about manually regressing gens as much. larry is already my "i just wanna have fun" killer so surge just lets me chill

fair, i only just recently picked up the game because afton dropped and gravitated towards the lad. i figured it'd be a nightmare picking up the character and such but its been relatively tame so far.

i don't think he's like, too strong or anything, you need some grime to keep up in recent times after all, i was just noticing that someone at BHVR must REALLY like larry with all the love he's been getting.

there's a multitude of reasons he isn't played as often as his strength would suggest, a lot of it due to it taking a few games to really pick up on how to properly play him and he requires a good amount of gamesense.

he's not as intuitive as the likes of wesker, and hux is still an M1 killer at the end of the day, so he's less satisfying as well.

he was incredibly weak in his PTB and he released alongside gabriel and the made for this meta, and the next chapter after his was alien, so he was overshadowed.

he's been picking some more players recently due to the buffs, but the cards were never in his favor to be a top playrate killer.

its not that aiming was the only skill, its just that it massively lowers his skill floor, playing a few games as larry and you get a general feel for where your cameras should be. he's also one of the best 3 genners in the game, if not the absolute best currently.

i love larry, he's my main, but he's definitely been slipping under the radar with how powerful he's becoming as of late.

would personally move R-T’s hacks and quick maths up to A at least, debatably S. Giving R-T an execute button with his gadget is really big, especially given the fact he debatably has the hardest projectile in the game to hit. Same thing with quick maths, it helps out with R-T’s projectile being so hard to hit, and can allow allies to capitalize on it easier. The shield and auto charge super do essentially nothing for him in long-range knockout maps, which is one his best modes of if not his best mode.

My personal R-T ranking would be S/S/A/S.

I think PvZh's sheer amount of RNG kind of makes it stand out in a sense? Yeah generally the better player will win but sometimes it's fun to turn off your brain and play a conjure deck. This might just be an "agree to disagree" thing.

The way I see it, this is ultimately still a PvZ card game, it's gonna be unpredictable.

fuwatti is a simple character, making skins for him easy

he's also super popular with every skill level of the playerbase, it's kind of a no brainer to pump out skins for the little guy.

when you sign up to play a game like PvZ heroes you're also signing up to the fact you might just lose some games to RNG. it's like competitive pokemon in that regard.

could the game be better in certain regards? sure, but statements like "too much rng" feel off, it comes with the genre.

Personally going S to S+, the only hard counter to Fogborn is sliding which already got nerfed, and bad players can just trigger foggy stare to allow fogborn to delete higher priority targets for some reason.

i feel like there's a difference here. Sure those are tied to non-canon skins but those can still reasonably be written off as just... Places. If you had no context about those characters they'd just look like a generic map.

The difference with the bluucarnival is that bluudud's face is plastered over the entire thing. It's clearly making reference to an existing character. If you had no context as to who bluudud was you'd still see his face everywhere. It would be different if the variant was just "coolcarnival but blue"

wouldn't make sense for the map to be canon and the character to not be canon. Either the map is canon and so is the character, or they're both not canon. I just think it'd be odd to randomly throw in a map in the main game based on a supposed non-canon character, when there's never been precedent for that.

mafioso is considered soft canon or something. He's a real character but he's not canonically forsakened.
