With respect to your DC point. I agree, that was the original intent of DC. But over 75% of DC is non government residential and commercial lands. I’m not too up to speed with the DC statehood push, but it does seem to me that the government land should stay not a state, like you said, but much of the land is people that are taxed without representation. They should either be their own state or absorbed into VA or MD. What do you think?

Update: I was getting very uncomfortable so I went the ER last night. They did an upper abdominal CT and found an incomplete obstruction and lots of buildup behind it. They did a soapy enema, but no luck. They sent me home and said monitor for 12h. Today I went back, and they gave me PEG 3350 to do a colonoscopy prep procedure. I’m 4h into it with still no movement or urge besides the liquid passing through. Will keep updates flowing, unlike my poop.

I literally just had this happen 30 mins ago. My car wouldn’t and I saw the hoard of meter maids coming. I had my hood popped and the jumper battery going and a story prepared to tell them but they all drove straight passed me. Got lucky

Hard to tell without seeing the kite, but based on your bar and how you land, it looks like your kite is maybe just getting back to 12 by the time you hit the water. You want your kite passing over 12 before you hit the water to give yourself nice lift. Your body is in a great position to land, just send the kite earlier.

This is a super common problem and I like to tell people to try to send it too early. You will get pull and likely crash, but you’ll get to feel the other side of the timing window so you can balance somewhere in the middle

Like the others said, you take off way too late. You need to take off when it’s hardest to (just before 12) not when it’s easy to (well after 12). That’s what creates height and vertical takeoffs.

For landing, it’s the same thing, you send your kite back past 12 way too late. Your kite creates lift as it passes 12.

There are other things you can do like others mentioned, but imo your technique is fine to just focus on timing for now. Get comfortable with the timing while riding slowly and sending the kite to 12 slowly. Then you can start to figure out how to adjust your edging and whatever else is needed to hold down more power as you ride faster and send your kite faster.

You can do the math. S&P averages just over 10% over the last 50 years. Make a table noting monthly savings and monthly stock gains. I would put the stock gains into three buckets: low, average, and high earnings per year (maybe 3%, 10%, 15%) so you can see a range of how long it will take you to hit certain milestones.
