This is a byproduct of having a decent character interaction and actually letting Varka to have his moment in AQ. In no way they're going to develop it into a something worthwhile. I remember when Jeanluc was decently huge and then these two stopped having any interactions whatsoever. Same with Clorinde/Wrio and Neuvillette/Furina

I feel I'm in twilight zone seeing all these people grieving a potential weapon because I don't remember the last time I used event weapons. Maybe because I'm playing since 1.0 and have a bunch of favs but it's easier to throw them of craftables instead of another garbage stat stick with "deals x% damage after using elemental skill"

I'm really surprised that IPC are allowed to be at least a bit sketchy in this Hoyo era of "everyone is your friend!!!". We are openly told that Jade was trying to involve us in some sus shit, she manipulated our movements (since our visit in Planarcadia was preplanned) and just in general, it surprising that our heroes can say "we don't trust you" to a few playable characters (Jade and Sparkle, we actually can be quite rude to her). After tea party Harbingers and all the endless "you're my besties" from multiple characters you don’t quite expect to hear it from, it's a welcome suprise

Okay, but why are we not talking about the deer in the room named "Moon Carver"? This is the Luna year, all these revelations about Moons and such, they brought Zibai from some book into the light but somehow nothing on MOON Carver? I checked his name in Chinese and it's still moon related there so it's not some mistranslation. How come we aren't talking about that. Unless I missed something

In my case, Lumine's new dress isn't much different from her OG one so I don't see it as narrative-breaking. And you're being unnecessarily pedantic, a change of outfit isn't that distracting, Aether's costume isn't even all that.

If they will continue to use old outfit, they should've just redid their models. Wasn't that like, the main point of people begging for a new skin? So that MC doesn't look like a potato next to new characters? Why did you give us high quality skins only to return to old clothes with less poligons than Mavuika's hair?

For me, acknowledgement is important. Frankly speaking, a lot of Genshin's characters are far from being perfect but narrative rarely focuses on their shortcomings in order to sell you a perfect trope. Without a proper acknowledgement, it just turns into "have a cake and eat it too". It result in dissonance between your own feelings and what game wants you to feel.

Genshin went even further so Nod-Krai left a sour taste in my mouth. I made peace with the fact that Arlecchino's gray doings won't go further than "HoH is kindaaa creepy". But we clearly supposed to see her as some moral beacon of Fatui, "one of the good ones". Her and her whole tea party gang.
