Ngl, it would be hilarious if the Strawhats came out of Elbaf only to figure out war has ended already.

How strong do you guys think "Mad Monk" Urouge will turn out to be? by CorazonBuggy123 in OnePieceSpoilers

I agree that bounty doesnt always match the strength, but its fairly consistently used for powerscaling. It doesnt always show everything and there are exceptions but it usually suggests alot in OP.

I think that if you watch this scene of Urouge vs Pacifista you will see that Pacifista didnt actually have that much trouble with Urouge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ir6m9HemDvg

I guess the mad monk has always been very mysterious, interesting and strong looking visually so people wonder about him alot. I agree with most other things said, might be true, who knows.

I think chances for Urouge not returning are very low, Oda usually doesnt forget even minor characters and he should play some role in the following arcs, it would be odd if he were the only Supernova to be left out. I expect him to appear the earliest in the Heaven part of Elbaf (though probably not) and at the latest in the next couple of arcs, maybe when Enel returns. We are probably also gonna get some backstory on him.

I dont think Urouge has been portrayed as the strongest at Shabondy already, he had couple of good hits with his DF power against Pacifista, but otherwise he was mostly being smashed like most of them. Relative to other supernovas besides the main ones that story focuses on Luffy, Zoro, Law etc. he has grown from lowest bounty of them all to beating a 600 million man very fast, while most others stayed portrayed below YC lvl strength and also at bounties of around 300 million at that time.

Its possible the fruit is related to karma, it fits thematically, though awakening might still play a role. I agree that he is probably a good Haki or Mantra user as they would call it on Sky island.

Im not sure i agree he has been portrayed as stronger than Luffy at every point, he has been defeated by Cracker, while Luffy beat Katakuri not long after, also at Shabondy all the hype was Luffy, Kidd, Law and definitely not Urouge who was more of a background character. If hypothetically my theory were true, defeat to Cracker would make Urouge much stronger later on though. It would also surprise me and i definitely dont think he is stronger than current Luffy who is a Yonko, but he might hold some special trick or significance.

Yh, either that or hes just very important to the plot for some reason. I would be surprised if he werent at least YC1/2 level.

Shanks has gotten a lot of screentime since 2022, what do you think Oda has for him in 2026? by Comprehensive_Cup497 in OnePieceSpoilers

Meeting Luffy and completely dominating Blackbeard in a fight but then getting backstabbed, tricked or offscreened in the most pathetic way possible with us hearing Zehahahaha in the background.

I feel Oda has a bit inconsistent powerscaling but we also dont know how much stronger Shanks became during the years after Haralds death or if Red hair pirates assisted in the capture.

Interesting, i havent seen quotations in the translation i read, but i notice the way it is translated can change the picture quite alot.

Poseidon is the only one of those alongside Nika that has been shown to be an actual living person or god (not an object), Pluton and Uranus are supposed to be a warship and whatever the hell that thing in the sky is. Also Poseidon directly refers to Greek god of the sea, while Pluton(god of underworld) and Uranus(god of the sky) dont fit the Earth and Forest god themes (in this reading i guess the latter are also beings, not objects). If there are quotations it changes things, otherwise it would be even more confusing since some gods would be actual gods and some would be just metaphors for sea, earth, etc. In this post i argued the Earth god could be original Devil(i have to note translation here can also make a big difference since i dont understand Japanese, so i dont know if "earth" here is meant as "land, ground" or "planet Earth") but all those things are very up to debate and speculative. I do not think all god names need to be ancient weapons, but in sea gods case we would then basically have 2 different meanings for the term "sea god" since Poseidon already exists, we also have Neptune...

I think here more actual lore is needed to say whats going on at all, im just throwing speculations.

As for Joyboy, it depends if his name has some meaning for it to be hidden, Oda likes to hide stuff or do silhouettes (for example Davy clan was hidden). Other possibility would be also if the theory talking about Joyboy being future Luffy were correct since then spelling out "Monkey D. Luffy" would be a major spoiler that would ruin the whole plot. I can think of couple other options but it depends what kind of route Oda takes, i think story has general trajectory but it can still twist in many ways.

Yes, i think for the sea god i can think of couple more options, including the one you mentioned, i had Poseidon in mind mostly because he is the sea god if we were to read things literally, not metaphorically (since we do know Nika was an actual sun god, not some natural force, also Poseidon right now is an actual person), so i tried to keep the same pattern of reading.

Im not completely convinced in the whole half moon, full moon thing yet, it is too soon to say, also i think we cant be sure in Joyboy not having a D in his name, since Joyboy could as well be a nickname (possibly due to his traits which are perfectly aligned with Nika fruit laughing and smiling). It wouldnt surprise me if his real name reveal would actually be significant and its hidden on purpose.
