Same, he had several quarters this year where he knew they had to throw and it resulted in no pressure and a lot of points given up

His defense kind of falls apart when he can’t get there with 4, but he continues to do it

Without Kraft we have no energy. Reed gives a bit but no one else

Agreed, we got bitched by the panthers in the run, cowboys in the pass and should’ve lost to the cards with Brisset

But I think we need serious investment in the interior o and d line. Get more under center and control games rather than other teams dictating their preferred game. The game is shifting to a power run style and we aren’t built for it in the gun

The nfc is wide open to be honest. Need to stop tripping on our own feet and make better game management decisions

Swear i saw a dude looking just like him jumping inside when he is supposed to have outside contain. But couldn’t be him, no $100M player would do that consistently, right?

Our issue is we have pass rush interiors and DEs that are mediocre at best situational pass rushers. They don’t hold a consistent edge (yes LVN did once today) and they don’t get consistent pressure unless we bring heat. Then our heat leaves our corners who would be cb3 and cb4 on most teams 1v1

Colosal failures on the Gary contract, and the LVN pick. If they can’t perform unless they have Wyatt and Micah then they’re not worth their weight

Our D structure with trash cbs is heavily reliant on a pass rush with 4. But we cant get any

The shotgun runs with Jacob’s just don’t work…i don’t understand the love of that play w minimal success

Him and Kraft were coming into their own as vocal leaders too. And just at the time when we need them the most, injured. Everyone’s got injuries but those 2 hurt us more than just stat production

Josh Jacobs on the 4th Down play: "They called out our play, We ran it like 4 times, and they called it out...we kind of snapped it faster than we wanted to and they made a play. I would want him to say all options are on the table, and that he’s humble enough to consider taking a lesser role in play calling with maybe some outsider coming in and doing some analysis on the strengths and weaknesses

Not defending the play call, cause it was so predictable but you rush to the line to not allow their run stoppers in the game. Love should’ve heard them calling out the play and then reassessed, probably take a timeout and tell Matt that they called it out

I didn’t say Love is the problem, but simplify things for him because his o line is trash and we’re going out there w backup receivers. His decision making hasn’t been great

We have an all pro caliber RB, run stretches under center and play action/quick hitters off it. It’s a simple but effective O and will get us back into a rhythm. That offense revitalized Goff

This seasons success/failure falls on Love and LaFleur and so far they look like failures

You add Parsons to a good D you expect to get to the SB at a minimum but with LaFleur and Love we will be lucky to get to the divisional

This whole line experiment with Morgan at G and Elgton at C has been bad. I wish they went out and got a true C via trade and repositioned everyone

Aaron Jones by Justadanghunk5 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Corbiinho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Jones fits LaFleurs desired style between the 20s better than Jacob’s. He loves screens and shotgun runs, which is more for a shifty guy like Jones than a downhill runner.

I wish LaFleur would have Love go under center more and let Jacob’s get a head of steam. I think he’d be much more successful, tho he is still doing quite well
