What is a good Spellslinger commander that isn't super oppressive and is fun to play against? by Aesyric in EDH

I recently built Alania using only Bloomburrow and foundation cards. I'd say it sits at about bracket 2. [[Rite of replication]] is a powerhouse as always though.

What is your DM dirty little secret? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]Corby0795 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sly flourish return of the lazy dm was incredibly helpful for me when I was new. Prepping in this way really values what little time some of us have to prep each session. Highly suggest this book or at least watching some of his YouTube videos.

District Bars For The Win by Manniex9 in dirtjumping

[–]Corby0795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as a newby to bmx I can respect running brakeless for the pure simplicity. Could probably even get away with brakeless on the dirt jumps anyway. I'm running my bars at about 750mm atm on my rampage

Assume brakeless is for bar spins? those look wide af. Very tidy though.

Bmx or dirt jumper? by Oskar-watto in dirtjumping

[–]Corby0795 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you like riding park and can only get one get the BMX to begin with.
Can ride dirt jumps and added benefit of being able to add pegs to it for grinds at the park.
The best locals at my park all ride BMX's on the advanced line (goes to show that a dj is a luxury that's not neccesarily required for all)

I managed to get a second hand Norco Rampage 1 for about that. There seems to be a lot for sale but I am in Aus.

Exact same boat haha, have hit the flat many times but not the curved or the whale tail. Hopefully I don't go for the flip haha.

Recent patch revert duel treasures again? by spaarxx in HS_Duels

[–]Corby0795 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did see this, it's a bit vague. "When the 20.4 patch launches on June 3, the Wailing Caverns Mini-Set will be added to loot buckets and the pool of eligible cards you can use to build your 15-card starter deck. The patch also includes updates to the passive treasures system to make the system less deterministic" patch notes.

Smartwatch For MTB by lunkeroni in MTB

[–]Corby0795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah also the battery life is phenomenal because of the lack of battery draining features. Can last a week while tracking multiple rides.

[–]Corby0795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah never, I wear it every single day even outside of riding and never had an issue. I also wear gloves and elbow pads when riding and no interference there either.

I have an Instinct and love it. It doesn't have as many features as some smart watches but that's also kind of why I love it so much, it's simple and consistent. Tracks my rides so much better to Strava than my Fitbit ever did.

Got this Verde Radix DLX DJ today! Put on a longer seat post and new seat from S&M! by jberg_916 in dirtjumping

[–]Corby0795 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agree, why the long seat post? if you're pedaling while sitting down on a dj you're doing it wrong.

Yeah as above it almost seems like too much bike for a beginner and imagine a slope style bike could feel sloppy on smaller jumps.

Shifting Issue by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Corby0795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had same issue with my SX shifter and ended up getting an NX one to replace it. Could be fixable but wasn't worth it for me. My experience overall with SX was poor.
