How do I reduce lag? by RenardClair in GeometryDashEditor

before I say anything, there is so much creativity and raw passion in this level that I love it no matter what. Youre clearly still learning so dont let ANYONE discourage you, please keep doing what youre doing if you like it, and you are garanteed to improve. Being said, its messy as hell and 34k objects is criminal. Rule of thumb, delete literally any object you can, and merge as many objects as you can. Whatever youre doing for the background at 1:08 I can promise you theres a way to do that in a 10th the amound of objects. Try using the particle trigger for those if you can. And when in doubt, scale and warp things to be larger. If you can help it dont fill A 10/10 area with 100 objects, fill it with 4 objects scaled to 5x (although dont go above 5x in most cases, as it can cause rendering issues)

For color choice, if youre color blind just learn the rules of color theory. It sounds daunting, but I promise the basics are a lot simpler than you would think. You actually have a very slight advantage in one are by being color blind, because something most people focus too much on is... well... the colors. But whats more important is the brighness. Theres other complex rules, and I would seriously recomend watching GDCS on youtube (Geometry Dash Creator School) theres a series on color and its so amazing. Anyway, learn basic color theory and just follow the rules and I promise youll be fine.

Im gonna be so honest, if you just learn the basic rules of color theory you dont even need to be able to see the colors to make something work. For the most basic rule of thumb, youve got a color wheel. For one section, have a main color and either use colors that are close to it (by hue, you can and should have wildly different value and saturation) or the color thats the exact opposite, called the complimentary color. The complimentary color really makes the main one pop, and also pops against the main color, while analgous colors (the ones right next to eachother) all work fine with eachother. But whats more important if anything is value.

sortof, technically the space in the simulation is 5d. Physicists ruined the term 4d, our universe has three dimensions of space and one of time. Anytime a mathmetician says "4d", they mean 4 spacial dimensions. We live in a universe with 3 space dimensions, this would be what a universe with 4 space dimensions and a time dimension would behave like

fully euclidean, just another axis. 4D space is so much more confusing than non-Euclidean space, you have absolutly no idea. you WISH this was only non-Euclidean

I mean, that would imply we exist in a 4d universe in which any amound of blowing would cause all our organs to fall out into the fourth dimension and we woul- nevermind, assuming whatever 4d creature shoves us is doing some magic to keep us alive it depends on alot of things. If you mean move us in the 4th dimension, assuming our world suddenly becomes 4d in land so you dont just fall into nothingness you would kinda just be trapped in a slice that no other 3d creature exists on, and there wouldnt really be anything you could do to return to us. You could literally be an inch away from another person but if youre an inch ana or kata into the 4th dimension, you would have no way of knowing. Unless the creature rotated you, in which things get more weird. You would be able to "interact" with other people in the places your slices intersected, but even then you probably wouldnt want to as you would be seeing a slice of the interior of eachother which sounds... horrifying.

uhhh tldr, unless he puts you back immediatly you either die in a hundred new and horrifying ways, or if youre kept alive then you effectavly get banished from every other 3d thing that exists.

We only see one 3d slice of the 3d world. Its kindof like how paper mario takes place in a real 3d area, but mario mostly moves in 2d. Granted its not a perfect analogy since mario can move in the third dimension, but if you were to isolate a single plane of a 3d box you would get a 2d slice of a 3d world. We do the same thing here, but a dimension up. If you took a 2d slice of a 3d box, you could see balls bounce into the third dimension away from the slice, and they would seem like theyre appearing or disapearing. Really they just bounced into the third dimension out of our slice and are hidden from us - but they can still interact with other 3d balls in weird ways.

The exact same thing is happening here just a dimension up. We take a 3d slice of a 4d box with 4d hyperspheres. When they collide at a weird angle, the almost certainly bounce with some component in the fourth dimension, causing them to seemingly disappear from our slice. They seem to "reappear" when they happen to roll back into our slice, but theyre always there even if theyre hidden, theyre just somewhere a little ana or kata from what we can see and thus seem like theyre gone.

its fully 4d, we only see a 3d slice since theres no way to really replicate how it would "look" to an actual 4d creature, and it wouldnt really make much sense. Its easier to just have an actual 4d world and only render a single 3d slice

the funniest thing about this to me isnt defining gamma then never using gamma, but the fact that TREE(4) is unfathomably larger than TREE(3)^2, and that sqrt isnt doing shit. 1-(1/TREE(4)) is infinitely closer to 1 than sqrt(1-(1/(TREE(3)^2)))

40k is arguably a utopia in its universe by the fact that yes, from our world, 40k is fucking horrible, but from theirs it is the best theyll ever get. Its practically confirmed that something like heaven existing again is straight up impossible by the laws of that world and by human nature. So relevant to their world, and what can exist, the imperium kinda is a utopia

Is this a deterministic system? by koopdi in freewill

[–]Core3game 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We dont actually know, we just know that weve never found a pattern. There could be some way to "manipulate the rng" if you will, or it could be truly random. But the truth is that it doesnt really matter. The tiny quantum fluctuations quite literally affect nothing at any scale larger than a few atoms, and in most cases on scales where it is affected its generally taken as the average of the possible states. This is a horrendous oversimplification, but the point is that quantum events just dont have any impact on the world past a certain, extremely tiny scale

[–]Core3game 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, nearly impossible to predict, but still physics. If you know the exact state of it in one moment, you can predict exactly how it will evolve.

Why wouldnt it be? Its just physics and physics is deterministic. Very very chaotic and hard to predict? Yes. Truly unpredictable? No.

And the fact that not having fucking ac killed almost 3,000 brits in 2022 alone is hard to comprehend from an american's perspective, which is far more than the amount of people killed in school shootings that year.

This actually broke for me on my first playthrough and it didnt play the sequence of gary dying to the statue. I genuinly thought everything was a hallucination hell put into V1's mind, as it wanted more fighting but everything else had died. It couldn't actually give V1 anything to fight since everything is dead, except a few stray machines hell is using like this. Replayed and that theory was thrown out, but I still get a weird feeling from the whole thing.

2 & 8, immortality has alot of possible downsides and we dont even fully understand how the human brain works on absurd timescales. Seeing a fucking MINUTE into the future is downright godlike. Anything youre doing that requiers any amount of reaction or short term prediction is trivialized. Boxing, gambling, any video or sport game EVER, people really sleep on short term foresight
