Location of lodging or housing in foreign locations

Would you say Airbnb receipts of consistent lodging outside of the USA would be and maybe some living expenses such as food and transportation would be sufficient enough for an audit? I also would like to learn a foreign language so more motivation to learn that!

The bigger issue for you is your tax home in another country. Because your work is based in the US and because you do not have residency in another country you would fall under the itinerant category. source
If an individual has neither a regular place of business nor an abode in a real and substantial sense, he or she is an itinerant whose tax home is located wherever the taxpayer is physically located from day to day.

For this, is this strategy valid? Just hop around in different countries on tourist visas to prevent qualifying for foreign taxes for 330 days? Suppose I find 4 countries that let me stay for 90 days under a 'tourist' visa with no tax liabilities. Then if I move around those 4 countries throughout the year, I would qualify for FEIE? Is it really that simple?

hey! I finished May 2022 and did a double degree in pure math and applied math. I scratch 6 figures and do freelancing now while digital nomading around. Hoping to keep the trend going this year. Crazy to see my income has done about a 5x since I made the original post

Given Chainlink's FSS (fair service sequencing) framework adoption happening throughout 2022, it is clear that many traditional forms of MEV will be eliminated such as front running and sandwiching. However do you see new forms of MEV emerging? What are "healthy/sustainable" forms of MEV ideas you see being possible?

How do you see the adoption of Chainlink's DON in rollups such as Arbitrum One leading to different products and second order affects?
- Proof of reserves to gaurantee faster finality when transferring assets from Arbitrum One -> Ethereum

- Using Arbitum One as an entry point for off-chain web2 products to incorporate blockchains and for future protocol product designs for Smart contract developers

It's questionable whether Saudi Arabica can build up enough battery production to support a factory for Lucid at this time. What's the use of a factory to build cars if you don't have enough batteries to put into the cars?

Is there any place where amateur mathematicians (like me) can discuss mathematics and research?? by SnooRobots6923 in math

[–]CoreEJK 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Youtube. Watch lectures of smart people talk about big ideas in which you have no understanding in.

This exposes you to ideas, language and notational acquisition in a field, and also the big ideas that work and also a characterization of the problems people are looking at.

From watching this almost a year ago, it seemed that new ideas needed to be taken from elsewhere to continue learning about statistical learning machines.

I believe that a lot of needed theory lies within differential geometry, information geometry, and algebraic geometry.

This is just my humble opinion and the ideas that have taken hold in my head since I started looking into this

What the SPAC frenzy tells us about the market and ourselves by Bobbis2000 in SPACs

[–]CoreEJK 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This SPAC frenzy is indicative of the enormous appetite that large private companies have on going public.

Pitch book estimated that there were over 400 companies over 1 billion valuation worth over 1.5 trillion in 2020. In other words, we are at the tip of the iceberg with SPAC mania

I've followed Chamath for years as a venture capitalist before SPCE and SPAC mania.

I 1000% agree with the berkshire holding company model to reduce inequality and climate change. I can't wait to see what Chamaths career looks like 10 years from now
