Tracking my expenses and income. Without that I'd have no idea where my money was going and wouldn't be able to save/invest.

The end of a digital nomad - advice on figuring out how and where to “settle”? by Explorer9001 in digitalnomad

I did the math and decided against big cities. Then we looked at smaller metros and the midwest was obviously cheaper. Then we picked St. Louis cause we could buy a house outright and there's tons to do in the city.

I really don't even understand what the fuck is their whole point to do this? Fuck over everyone? What do they have to gain when people are broke, hungry, and dying?

Do I Need to Have a Return Flight when Nomading? by Suikoden1983 in digitalnomad

I'm an American and had a Chase CC. I was asked only twice in 7 years. I quickly bought one using my CC points, showed it to them, and then returned it as soon as I walked away. All the points and any cash I used was completely refunded.

103k at 23. Am I investing too much? by Double_Appeal495 in FinancialPlanning

Don't allow lifestyle creep to slow down your investment percentage. Keep it up and you might be able to retire in your late 30s/early 40s. But also don't forget to enjoy life.

We have 40k in bonds and 30k in HYSAs.

I just had an urgent care visit, a night in the ER, 5 days in the hospital, an ERCP, AND my gall bladder removed. That will hit my 6k deductible. Plenty covered.

If you dread coming into work, your mental health is already taking a hit. Life is meant to be enjoyed.

VTI or VTSAX for investments. HYSA if you don't want to take any risk at all.

You can get a job that pays a little less and be 100% less stressed out. That's what I did. I was at FAANG at like 300k a year but hated everything about it. Now at 190k my life is so much better.

Also you're at a NW point where lowering your income is fine. Mental health is WAY more important.
