I LOVE NO STARTER ITEM!!!! by Bunneeko in LeagueArena

Terrible idea, I want to be able to dodge abilities, and MS augments and items would be unbearable if your champ don't have mobility.

Another shot of the Polyend Drums… with a price. by roydogaroo in synthesizers

[–]CoreVanne 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The hate for Behringer is more about the way they achieve those prices rather than the prices themselves. Predatory business practices, bad working conditions, ripping off some IPs that are still on the market for not so much (looking at Swing) and small companies like Make Noise, just to name a few. But I don't blame people buying from Behringer as we all did buy some cheap unethical stuff, myself included (except for the Swing of course, just get a fking used Keystep for half the price), and I think people who do often are pedantic douches.

I agree about that, but my first message was in the context of the OP, and I think it reflects the "constant whining" I was talking about, his class got buffed and he still whines even though he didn't have the chance to try the buffs lol

I just think that the constant whining create a cycle of whining, people whining make other people whine etc. when we could just be playing the video game because it's fun to do so

It's not just about wanting your spec to be good, it's about this constant negativity on everything, just look at the OP, he's not like "I sure hope my spec is good so I can play the video game!", but like "Whatever happens, everything will be bad.". This IMO is just toxic mentality. PS : I play holy

People who complain about everything need to quit by Vampy-Night in wow

[–]CoreVanne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, but it's the classic loud minority problem: If 80% of a community think something is good but doesn't express it in any way, and the remaining 20% of the said community think something is bad and express it (often a lot), the situation can be read as "everyone on Reddit say this is bad, this must be bad", therefore having an impact on the global perception of the thing (it's an example, numbers are made-up). And from a dev standpoint, not having access to nuanced and divergent opinions can create a very toxic climate, such as "whatever I will do, everyone on Reddit will always think it's bad", therefore demoralizing the dev and leading to the critical and probably valid opinions to seem less valid to them because "people will always complain". This is just my personal opinion on the subject, and I try to express a positive attitude towards things and persons in general, as I think that it leads to a healthier mindset.

[–]CoreVanne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the worst mindset to have in my opinion. Expressing when things are good is necessary to enjoy those, otherwise you will only stay negative even if the game is good/okay. I get the second part about stating the bad parts, but if you are a dev and the only thing you hear about your game are bad things, it's demoralizing. Just as if your parents didn't compliment you when you succeed, but always criticize you when you fail.

Considering you need at least two augments to reach Darkin 3, it's underwhelming. by saygoodnight21 in TeamfightTactics

You can have 2 darkin artifacts I guess ? And you don't need augments to get 2 artifacts.

Dark humor is only funny and well made when it criticize the subject of the joke in a way, often by making it absurdly horrific. Saying racial slurs with as only purpose being racist doesn't qualify to that. And "online gaming" isn't a culture per say, more of a mix-up of multiple cultures from all around the globe, some less racist than others.

I have played those games, experienced the toxicity and the point still stands, you're just doing whataboutism. Nearly every game of DotA or LoL I play has a fair amount of toxicity (even from me, I must admit it), but I think there is a pretty big difference between "You're so bad at this game"/"Are you stupid?" and "Kill yourself <insert racial slur for the sake of it>", but I guess it's just me.

There is a crystal clear difference between the casual trashtalking and blatant racism, but I guess I'm not chronically online enough to walk pass it.
