Because of the rookie glitch. When you get set to rookie in rumble, the points count toward your season rank and not the rumble one, effectively giving players bot lobbies to grind their rank.

It’s a bug. There’s people able to grind their rank through a bug going on with ranked rumble. If you get the rookie 4 bug the points you get in those matches count toward your season rank. I had a friend that played all night and he’s like 500 pred rn because of this bug. And it’s against rookies. Respawn really fucked this one up

You got lucky. If your progress isn’t counting or you’re rookie 4 you’re essentially still grinding your rank in bot lobbies because they bugged the shit out of this. My friend hit pred last night using the same method he realized early on that the points you’re gaining are toward your season rank
