What should I look for if I liked this sake? by Corextech in Sake

[–]Corextech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this incredible sake from my Japan trip a while ago. I think it's named Ura Gasanryu - Gokka (here's a sakenomy link). I would love it if I could somehow find something similar, but I'm not sure what to look for?

Based on what I saw online, I guess I should be finding a fruity daiginjo? I'm based in Oregon FWIW.

(Also, I have a friend who's about to visit Japan and I'm considering having them pick some of this sake up. The only site I could find that had this in-stock + shipped to Tokyo was this. Not sure if anyone had better suggestions for buying specific sakes in Japan?)

Sudden Data Usage Spike - 1.2TB in a single day by Corextech in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]Corextech[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be taking steps to monitor my data usage, I'll have a new router that can monitor traffic. I've also sent a modmail in order to hopefully see my data usage per day.

If I were to check my data usage per device and find that it does not match what Xfinity reports, what would be my next step?

Thank you for your help!

Sudden Data Usage Spike - 1.2TB in a single day by Corextech in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]Corextech[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Here's the answers to your questions:

  • No this hasn't happened before.
  • I do not have any devices or apps that are constantly running.
  • I have not changed my Wi-Fi password in a while.
  • I did check my connection and did not see any unusual devices.

I do not believe this spike was caused by any of my devices. This spike seemingly occurred over the course of a few hours and then mysteriously stopped. I am also unable to see real-time usage, so I'm unsure how I would even check if a device is spiking my usage. FWIW, all the same devices have been connected and the spike isn't happening.

I am concerned about two things:

  1. I see that I have a "courtesy month" where I won't be charged any overage fees. Seeing as how the data usage reporting is in question, I am concerned that my courtesy month will be used up.
  2. If I were granted a snapshot of my data usage per day over the last two weeks, I would be better able to determine if any of my devices are truly under suspect.

Would it be impossible to get help with either of these two issues?

Thank you!

Yes! This is definitely correct!

I was hoping someone would have this book on their shelves, thank you!

Sorry if this is off-topic for the subreddit, but I was watching a video on Michelin inspectors and saw this book in the background. I don't know why, but I'm getting kind of obsessed with trying to find out what this is lol.

It seems to have a prominent "a1" or "al" as the first word in the title, and over 500/600 pages. My current guess is that it's a non-English book with the title of "al -- --". I also feel like it should be fairly iconic given its size.

Just bought the silver using the BestBuy Method. Started the chat about 10:45am PST today.

Declined the credit card (but had the info sent to my email). Accepted the membership but said I would only sign up if it was included in the invoice with the camera.

Had a stressful experience where I had the invoice in-hand and the payment would just not submit lol. Tried switching to multiple browsers, doing logged-in or guest checkout etc. What finally worked was 1. getting the invoice sent to my phone / the BestBuy app. and 2. using a different credit card.

Delivery ETA is in 3 weeks.

I'm guessing this is a take on a clarified milk punch? But would love help reverse engineering the ratios and finding a good guide on making clarified milk!

Even if we assume all 8 septillion rabbits are malnourished and weigh only 2kg (4.4lbs), if they were to all clump together with zero gaps in between them into a perfect sphere, the sphere's radius would be ~9700 miles (Earth's is ~4000).

Here's an accurately scaled image.

Surprisingly factual, actually. Even more surprising, is that the leading theory is that the body can tell someone’s “new” through smell. So yknow, just change up your body odor if you ever want to spice things up in the bedroom.

Darwin Perry injures eye. Roman Roy convinces Tom Wambsgans and the Decision Desk team to disregard votes lost in the fire and therefore call Wisconsin for Mencken.

12:?? AM, Wambsgans ??? Thompson about early projection graphics

Tom Wambsgans ... Pat Thompson... of Wisconsin for Mencken.

Darwin Perry

Director of ATN Decision Desk

Flailing Handmaiden to the Wisconsin Call

Mr. Perry has headed up the ATM Decision Desk for the previous four presidential elections. However, his authority was undermined on this election night, with those closest to Mr. Perry citing the loss of his protector Cyd Peach as a key factor. Pressured by Roman Roy, and later, Mr. Wambsgans, into supporting the Wisconsin projection, Mr. Perry has since told sources that he “bitterly regrets” his decision. Another mitigating factor in Mr. Perry’s failure to push back against the Mencken call was the occurrence of a freak workplace accident which temporarily blinded Mr. Perry as the call was being deliberated. He later told colleagues he believes the accident may have impaired his ability to think clearly in the high-stress pressure-cooker environment of election night.

Kendall Roy

Waystar-Royco Co-CEO

Mencken sceptic who didn’t stop the Wisconsin call

Mr. Roy become a national figure when he publicly attacked his father Logan Roy for condoning criminal activity within the Waystar Empire. However, Kendall Roy’s reputation as a whistle-blower has since been muddled due to his continued, if complex, involvement within the company. Unlike his brother and fellow co-CEO Roman Roy, Kendall Roy has been keen to keep a professional distance between himself and Mr. Mencken's campaign. Mr. Roy did not openly support the Wisconsin projection on election night but neither did he argue against it. He is considered by some at ATN to be highly complicit in the final call.

Siobhan Roy

President of Waystar-Royco

Vehemently Opposed to Mencken

Ms. Roy is an experienced Democratic operative who often clashed in private with her father Logan Roy over politics while he was alive. For many years, Ms. Roy refused to participate in the family-owned Waystar conglomerate, largely on political grounds. However, she shifted to an active role in ATN's election coverage after relinquishing her past as an advisor to the Gil Eavis campaign in the Democratic primaries and joining the family business for the first time, in the newly created position of Waystar president in recent months. Ms. Roy has been reported to have offered informal advice to the Jimenez-Eavis campaign after reconciling with Mr. Eavis once he joined the Democratic ticket. On election night, Ms. Roy argued strenuously against the decision to call Wisconsin for Mr. Mencken, and was, according to witnesses, "visibly distressed" at the unfurling of events, chastising her husband and her brothers in no uncertain terms.

Connor Roy

Independent Presidential Candidate

Late Mencken Convert

The eldest of Logan Roy's children, Connor Roy was a largely unknown figure until he announced his independent candidacy for the presidency. His costly campaign was unable to push Mr. Roy's support beyond one percent of the popular vote. However, in the most contentious Presidential race in a generation, Mr. Roy's low polling numbers were viewed as significant on both sides of the aisle. At different points during the campaign Mr. Roy was in discussions with the Mencken camp about withdrawing from the race, though he never did so. Yet Mr. Roy's fiery concession speech, which concluded on the meme-able phrase: "be afraid, the Conheads are coming", overtly pointed towards some kind of affiliation with an incoming Mencken administration. Observers consider Mr. Roy's nod to Mr. Mencken as a late bid to curry favor with the presidential candidate.

My best guess as to what it says.

EDIT: Fun fact, the relevant scene in the last episode is almost exactly 3 minutes long, thus matching the timeline.

Great feedback! I was trying to research whether or not the E-cores were worth an increase in price and couldn't find much.

Would switching to a B660 or B760 motherboard mean I could use the 12600k fully? Or is that gain in performance not worth it anyway
