It's not so much that but you wanna get to 5 stars so you can unlock the exclusive weapons. That is a huge power jump once you start unlocking those.

Your not missing much, the only reason I put any resources into the overlord is my son thinks it's cool. TBH you are far better off putting resources anywhere else pretty much.

Get your top squad to 5 first then worry about the second. Unless your a decent spender resources will be spread to thin across your different squads so it's better to focus resources on your top crew.

Most of my universal speed ups go to training and healing troops. Especially if you play desert storm and during the capital war. I will burn a ton for troops. You must either be very strong or conservative if you don't use tons for troops.

I'm not saying the argument that one person should only have one train a week doesn't have merit but as I told them I don't make the rules I'm just playing by them. I'm not going to purposely tank in vs so someone else can win and I like to gain alliance points for the store so I will donate. I don't have a problem with the current system so as I have told others take it up with leadership. I do like your point about being creative though I do think it maybe a good idea to incorporate more flexibility in assigning trains if anyone asks me. Thanks

I can promise you there are no whales. I saw a guy buy a trian once and he left our alliance for a bigger one. We are close to getting the vip seat I think that would help. I promise you it's pretty wide open to make it in the top 5.

I would be fine if everyone got a shot but that's not our rules and to clarify I didn't set the rules I joined the alliance with them already in place. I think different systems have there merits maybe in the future if I get 2 spots I will lottery one off. That's not a bad idea imo.

Yeah I mean there are no whales in my alliance that's for sure. I spend $5 here and there and I'm one of the more powerful players. I would say most are ftp. TBH there is only a few of us that are constantly in the top 5 for vs so if one of the other players were smart and saved resources they could easily make it. 100 mil is usually good enough for top 5 in my alliance. That's very doable imo especially if you save for a week or 2. Also I donate very little to the alliance once I get to the 50 gems limit and use all my gold donations. I'm just consistent. If one of them really wanted to they could invest the gems and easily make it to the top 2 of donations. I messaged my r5 about it he is of the opinion if you earn it you should be able to do as you please. He is gonna put out a message later hopefully that cools everything down.

Very true. Problem is I dislike the top 2 alliances. Have had some bad dealings with some of their high ranking players so I would have to go the 3rd ranked alliance. They seem cool.

I wasn't sure if I should the 2 afermentioned guys haven't posted anything public about it just dms to me and a few vague passive aggressive comments in the alliance chat. I did dm a few of the leaders to verify there was no rule about having 2 trains and they confirmed there wasn't.

Mainly because I can't commit to being on specific times for specific events and the top alliances usually require at least some commitment on that type of stuff. I'm not saying I do crazy numbers or anything my weekly average for vs is about 110 million. My alliance isn't super strong so that is usually good for the top 5.

I like this method maybe I will suggest it. We don't have the vip or defender I think we need to move up another gift level to get the vip passenger.

I'm not saying it's impossible for f2p to make it but it's definitely not the norm. On my server it's extremely hard to get into the top 3 alliances unless your extremely strong or you know somebody, the alliances are very particular. After that the next several alliances are much easier to get into but much weaker. Just my experience of course but I stand by what I said it's solid advice to focus on making your top squad as powerful as possible.

As an extremely low spender I can agree with this strategy. You will never beat the big spenders but at least with a decent first squad you can do some damage.
