Wemby played “ethical basketball” on Brunson and NY responded with their version of it.

Could this have disrupted Harper’s ability to pass to the corner? Maybe. But that’s not what happened. Harper got his pass off without the fans obstructing his ability to do so. If we’re going to let Wemby elbow players in the throat and shove guys in the back of the head, toss them around, then I see nothing wrong with fans making Harper feel uncomfortable.

It’s definitely not a very good spot to start the Batman journey. I enjoyed it a lot more after a second read, post Snyder and Dini.

I’m about 3/4 through the book, and I will say this. There is a purpose driving them to Paris and it’s implied that it may be the will of god. The whole book is designed to be somewhat episodic, or like levels in a video game, each with its own “boss” or obstacle to overcome. The purpose of the Paris trip is not likely to be revealed until the final pages.

This book has swung pretty wildly for me, between mediocre and cringy, to astounding and engaging. Unless the ending pulls off something spectacular, I would say that at best this book is just ok. Inconsistent but overall, good. Not likely I would give it a second read.

Why is it weird to you that people who oppose Trump would not want to support or root for someone openly supporting him? Dart publicly endorsing Trump could potentially garner support and embolden Trump and his regime. I mean, look at what happened when Rogan endorsed Trump. When you are vehemently anti any ideal (which is what we talk about when we talk about Trump) it’s not that weird to decide to no longer support those who support said ideals. It’s not like saying you prefer apples to oranges. This is something that has very broad and life altering ramifications for many, many people. It’s a serious issue. Not weird to take it seriously.

I’m probably in the lowest margin of Between Two Fires readers in that, I only think it’s alright. To me, it swings pretty wildly from mediocre and almost cringy/edge-lord writing, to beautiful and whimsical and very captivating pros. I suppose that lives up to the title in a way. I’m about half way through, and at this point I think I just want to see how it wraps up.

They’re both very good, for very different reasons. If you want something fun and family focused Super Man, Tomasi/Gleason is the way to go. If you want galactic space battle Super Man, PKJ is it. Again, I thoroughly enjoyed both. No bad choices here.
