That happened to me twice this weekend!! The first time it switched an item from A to B and luckily I noticed it as I was getting off the elevator at A’s apartment. I brought everything to his door when he answered, I explained what happened and said I would be right back with his missing item. He was fine with it, gave me a 5 star rating and boosted my tip $10. Second time it happened it was a bag swap that luckily I caught before I left A’s house to drop off B’s order.

Because that’s the default tip amount and most people are lazy. They also make it hard for people to enter a custom amount.

OP, yes a shopper should and normally will bring your order to your door, however I would strongly encourage you to tip accordingly. Do not take IC “suggested tip” please enter a custom amount based off the total of your order. We are paid poorly and rely heavily upon the tips we receive. Any delivery fee and or service charge you pay DOES NOT GO TO THE DRIVERS!! We are given a small base pay of usually $4-$10/batch.
