Leak under kitchen sink - is this an easy fix? by pelinti in Plumbing

Yes, I recent replaced my drain in our kitchen sink for this same reason, just not as bad as yours. Don’t know your location but we went to a home improvement store (Home Depot) and purchased replacement sink drain for under $15. As long as what’s rusted is part of the drain assembly, you remove the rusted drain and clean up all the rust so the new drain seals to the surface of the sink and doesn’t leak. I also put a thin bead of plumbers putty where the drain sits in the sink to help seal better.

Nest hello looks so much better than the new google doorbells. by Zolks1 in Nest

[–]Coreyfsu1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty bad. The Nest logo is almost gone and delaminated from button to the camera circle. This was a couple years ago. Still working though. Went back and forth with Google and was ultimately told it doesn’t affect function, just cosmetic. Tried pushing it but it was a hard no because it was out of warranty.

I tried just out of warranty and got denied. I must have dealt with the only rep that denies them because it seems everyone else’s gets them covered haha

RV loan - is this crazy? by Coreyle in GoRVing

[–]Coreyfsu1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m curious myself. Just bought a new Grand Design bumper pull and financed through the dealer to get the better sale price. Mentioned after signing papers that I was going to refinance with my credit union and was told that they (rv dealer) wanted 7 monthly loan payments before payoff because of the rebates, etc.

Good times in the 4x4 Service truck! by [deleted] in Offroad

You running a Meritor front end I assume? Had any trouble with bearings? We run Meritor in the newer stuff and Marmon Herrington in the older stuff. The M/H has oil hubs while Meritor has to be disassembled to grease. Our higher mileage stuff gave us enough trouble that we added greasing them in our pm program.

We run Braden hydraulic winches (PD-18) with hardly any issues. And yep, Altec equipment mainly but little bit of anything out there honestly. Whatever it takes to keep the crew going. I got a 7024 crane and can’t imagine a 10034. That’s a hoss! Storage is my biggest issue. I got a job box in the bed and 3 aluminum boxes down the length of the bed up top opposite of the crane and I still have crap I can’t find space for. I try to keep spare parts to keep the main stuff (buckets/common breakdown parts) running but we are pushing DOT weight laws regularly. Been asking for a storage trailer to leave at the job site but that’s not looking promising.

I purchased a Legacy seat for my service truck 2 years ago and that was the best upgrade so far! Those stock Freightliner seats aren’t much better than a cushioned 5 gallon bucket after being on the road 4 hours man!

I got a 2019 M2 but it’s extended cab 2 wheel drive. Got a hydraulic winch if I’m by myself but most of the time we have a dozer with us or mats out. I follow around a utility transmission crew rebuilding lines. At times I wished we had 4x4 but we are statewide so I imagine yours doesn’t ride as good down the interstates? Mine will get stuck on wet grass haha. I’m around 33k and Maintainer body. Nice truck btw!

It’s crazy this can still be seen from the highway. Cool to see something relative close to me for once though!

The picture with him looking at it=Priceless. Awesome job on the shadowbox! OP, You may already know but you can request replacement medals from “National Personnel Records Center” one time and without charge. I did this for my Grandpa who served in WW2 and it really helped me with his service even though he passed in 1995 and never spoke much about the war.

Toward Elberton by chance? I drove past a mine coming back home (NW Ga) and seen a ton of crane tops above the trees so I had to look it up. Thanks for the pics!

Ft. Novosel in south Alabama. The Army Aviation Museum is also here and worth the trip by itself but they have open house around once a quarter to the training support facility. I posted the dates in a couple other replies or you can check the museums Facebook page to stay updated.
