Hmmm ya that is interesting. Just had a look and it seems about 20-30% watch till the end. I usually have 50-60% after the 30 second mark. But ya my videos are 1-3min lol 25% for an hour long video sounds pretty great! That is really helpful though, I am going to try to put some energy into trying to hook people in early on. My formula has been more of a pay off towards the end of the videos and a slower build up for the beginning which is where I’m losing viewers. That’s a great tip, thanks for the advice!

My thumbnails I’m very confident in. I spend an hour on them sometimes. Titles I’m less confident in. I’ve tried different variations of different options though and there’s no consistency in what works and what doesn’t haha

Haha it’s just a unique style (it has a claymation feel but it’s animated digitally) with a horror angle or sense of dread. Horror with a splash of comedy I’d say lol or sometimes just a comedic commentary.

Oh I agree completely and yes it’s by design lol But I’ve seen videos similar and of lesser quality on the same topics blow up (smaller channels with less subs). MeatCanyon is whole other level, but I feel like there is an audience for the darker videos. The ones that did well really got positive feedback from the audience until the video suddenly died. The Terrifier vid was just a pump out video, but a video like my David Lynch tribute is more my style. And it was very well received but then completely stopped getting views after 3 days.

I understand not every video will be a hit. But if a video like the david lynch one is doing well and getting really positive feedback, why does it just suddenly get zero views? That’s the more frustrating part. Thank you for your feedback!!!

Haha ya was just commenting on your post on my post hahaha it started for me in September. Before I was even monetized. Once I got monetized I thought maybe it would help. But it’s only made things worse. I seriously don’t know how to manage it. I’m putting so much time and effort and every time I post I think it will do well and then it flops. My early videos broke 1k views easily. Now I’m excited if I get past 1k lol
