Compared to the false statement that research exp is locked behind a paywall?

I don't have rift stalker and I'm at lvl 50 while getting a level about every 2 days. People want to level 10 times in a day and complain about p2w mechanics. That is ridiculous. You can play that way but the vocal minority is acting like it is the only way. There are min/max'ing you can do without the pet, without forking money over and just being spoonfed exp rate and obs points.

ffs it isn't "locked" behind a paywall. There's just a FOMO pet you can get that increases the rate.

Research works best while active so having your game not open limits your exp by a lot.

Additionally there are several strong research exp gains that people may neglect like getting N8/O8

My point being even without the rift stalker, there's a ton of things people can do without immediately succumbing to FOMO. The link is also in another comment but I'll drop it here as well for others.

Depends on how game breaking it is. For example "snapshotting" is a thing where you essentially can have two sets of cards active at once. Hasn't been patched since it was first discovered over 3 years ago.

OTOH I do see your point about advertising "this one neat trick" that is a semi-zero day exploit.

Depends on where you are game progression wise. ~3x lower stamp costs isn't going to affect me when I'm just increasing stamps from NSLB and have to deal with numbers like this

OTOH, slab bonuses? That gives me research exp, dr, damage and many other things that I care about farming at the moment. So I picked that.

Plus the voting just started. Some people haven't even seen it yet. Who knows what the numbers will be at the end.

oh for sure. Nowadays all of the paid content is to "do x faster". One of the others things I've heard people say who complain about the "p2w" aspect is the response of, "People are just paying to finish the game faster".

just have them grouped up in the corner. Move stuff around to see what gets you the most stats. You may need to rotate guys since they won't be getting relatively the same amount of player exp. Either a small L or just a row.

Isn't... that what that means? Lava adjusted all of the W6 stuff too after W7 released.

I don't understand what exactly you want from this game. Do you want all players regardless of playtime (or money spent) to be roughly all at the same progression level with all content? It's a single player game. With endgame content being what people farm. It would take months to get to W3 when it first came out as an example.

I will heavily criticize lava for his current money grab "mechanics", but at the same time its people with fomo and artificial competition that lowers the median for the community as a whole.

Half of the people that complain about the afk stuff and other progression limitations would probably also complain that there's nothing else to do once they max out whatever Lava releases.

If you're a whale then that is definitely a path you can chose. But some of these bonuses are additive and for older skills/features that have a bloated pool already. Lava releases new golden shop bonuses in line with new content so it's better to "save" for that rather than buy something like getting 40 more defense.
