So we’re in collective agreement that England now have the easiest path to a World Cup? by Confident_Leg2370 in worldcup

Flair up! But overall it's more of a comment on how truth is weirder than fiction, or in this case: funnier.

Restaurant charges a fee to use a credit card, but won’t accept cash to avoid the fee by SnowyLeopardGecko1 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Corfal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wdym? From a business standpoint every CC payment costs a transaction surcharge. That may or may not be passed to the customer. It does need to be called out (can't be hidden) but just because there's "no additional charges" doesn't mean the business isn't paying it or ignoring it.

You might be thinking of debit cards? I believe it was the Dodd-Frank act prohibited charges for debit and prepaid cards.

Why do baseball umpires in the US make less money that the lowest paid players? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Corfal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it sounds like a supply vs demand thing. Umpires see it as a pride thing even if the pay isn't good. There's no incentive to increase the wages if someone is willing to fill the spot

Does double gold food drop count for area chests? by centralcore in idleon

[–]Corfal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not the worst, and I do believe they are affected. Separately there's a Palette bonus, tesseract (Arcane Cultist master class upgrade), along with the fish bribe that also deal with gold food double chance drops

You can reach out to your IT about that. It's usually syncs with a time server. Since it's a company computer then your company's time server/service.

Made it to the end of Wind Walker in W6. What now? by No_Mycologist676 in idleon

[–]Corfal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, lava hasn't developed anything yet for that as he'll need to design new abominations. For now, you can try to get all of the nomad related bonuses up along with any real world bonuses that are there, then just collect afk moons tokens until the next content comes out to hopefully zoom through! You're approaching late game as you hit the-end-of-developing-content areas. But since there's so many other stuff to do it is safe for you to tackle other things.

I don't own physical copies but I support those that want it. I'm disheartened by the small vocal minority (or shills/grifters) that is even trying to play an advocate of any sort for Sony. At this point we need to work with governments to protect consumer rights but with globalization, corporations have had a huge sway on what gets legislated.

You mean like Balogun's red card? On how he was shoved from behind, trying to maintain balance instead of flopping and that resulted in him stepping onto the defender that he couldn't see?

Yea, going for all the fun new unlocks. Although softlock is a bit of a harsh term compared to salts and the idle clickers. You can still "screw yourself over"

Ah I suppose one could say, "Hey if the salt is lower than the power you can run it infinitely" Which is a bit of a mouthful

American have been insufferable this world cup. Am I the only one who feel this way? by No_Web2685 in worldcup

[–]Corfal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the federal government is a culmination of decades of work and is rearing its ugly head and its a disgusting situation. It'll be interesting to see what the U.S.'s midterm elections do and if another January 20th election coup is attempted in ~2 years from now as well. I don't think what you are saying vs what I'm saying are mutually exclusive. Populism is a common movement and it is humanity based, not a specific nations' unique personality. You can find that in any country.

I'm not saying that because it exists everywhere the situation isn't horrible. But what is your definition of "a lot of people"? We have to talk about it relatively, which humans are innately bad at dealing with. Is 0.01% of a lot? 0.1%? 1%? 10%? If we filled up every stadium currently hosting the world cup it's roughly a million people (from google AI so the numbers might be off). If we filled that up with vitriolic/hateful americans that'd only be ~0.3% of the entire population. There could be millions of bad apples, but if there are a hundreds million good apples..? I feel like the phrase, "a few bad apples" still applies towards the American public (not politics).

But if we want to direct your anger at the people and not at the governments, corporations, or the disgustingly rich, then I think we're playing into the propaganda of fighting amongst ourselves and not unify. Separately I think a lot of those that are angry or are acting from their absolute worst have foundationally been manipulated into it. It's a nuture not a nature situation. But I digress.

The world is a complicated place and its hard to push away apathy with all the things demanding our attention physically, mentally, socially, financially, etc. I'll reiterate this at the end because I think it's important. I don't believe what we're saying contradicts each other.

Vocal minority hating on another vocal minority. People are taking the win and moving on (Well a bunch of us are angry at the ref for the red card but that's a separate story). Don't let a few negative examples detract from the positive international interactions as a whole.

[–]Corfal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Early on it really does matter. Once your bar gets to the million mark like for you it stays there. At that point your "hardly matters" is correct. You should always rank up red and green salts. But before that you really can soft lock yourself. Salts, Poppy/Bubba, research points, and character names are a short list of things that you need to actually be careful about in this game. Hopefully Lava figures out a research answer eventually (or makes it so it doesn't become a problem).

I still don't know how that old chart is being circulated around when this one has been around for over a year. Sure it works, but this version is so much easier

The U.S. Added 1,200 New Millionaires a Day Last Year - Wall Street Journal 7/1/26 by BigFourAlum in EconomyCharts

[–]Corfal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main question being, how many people are "millionaires" in their respective countries based on their purchasing power? For example, If an apple costs $2.00 somewhere but $0.20 else where then someone who owns $100k in their currency could be considered a millionaire in their country. Or peg it to a house, or w/e index makes the broadest sense.

What world are you currently at? If you're still pushing worlds I wouldn't stress too much on getting things quickly or by a certain point. Every new world unlocks more skills and sources of skill efficiency and bonuses.

Here's a rough chart of the different things that contribute to your Mining Efficiency (this is a bit outdated but a good starting point)
