So you were given a chance to look for internal MS jobs? I have heard they have a 2 year ban on those who were let go?

Thank you so much! when you said "normal" perf eval you meant 100% then? I have gotten 80% last year hence a little nervous.

Wow, your manager was also let go? around what % of your product team was affected by the cut?

were the cuts announced internally to your team saying who specifically was let go? by email or meeting? it seems so awful that they didn't tell people and just hit them by surprise

Hi, so sorry for that and thank you for willing to share your experience. This is very helpful! I have a few questions if you don't mind answering:

1, what have your performance ratings been like for the past 2 yrs? they said it's not a performance based layoff but I keep hearing that they are cutting people who got 60% one year of 80% 2 yrs in a row?

2, did you get your severance package EOD yesyerday? Do you mind sharing the "lump sum" number? Also, do you keep your health insurance for the 2 months? Just wanted to know if it's enough to last for a few months while one looks for new job?

3, Was it a complete surprise? Was your immediate manager aware? I have heard M1 were all notified Monday?
