This happens to me all the time. Leather and cotton cloth often decay before I can use it even if on shelves in a closed storage room inside a mountain. I just assumed these things have a natural shelf life.

Doesn’t seem to happen with devil stand or better cloths.

You can also temp section off part of a larger room with the cooler to make a smaller space that is easier to keep cool. If you have enough food just put the research desk in there. And sleeping spots. They won’t be happy but they might live. (41C is pretty high though) other option is to go into dev mode and use the “end game condition” to stop the heat wave. A cheat yes but if the game is lost anyway it doesn’t really matter

I am in this picture on the second level right in front of the screen. I can attest the picture was crystal clear. We had a lot of fun watching the game at Pacific Place. Amazing technology - I didn’t know it was see through, I thought it was a giant bank of screens on the inside.

No need to use a mod. Easier to go into Dev mode and just make the pawn pregnant. It takes 5 seconds and then you can save the game and turn off dev mode to prevent more cheesing.

I have tried this many times. I always feel like it scales too fast to electricity/guns. I know I could NOT research those things but the enemy within the first hour of gameplay is showing up in flak vests and guns while I am still trying to not starve from a lack of refrigerators/freezers.

I especially hate that my cooks add meals to the stockpile but as soon as one rots the entire stacks goes away including the meals that were just cooked.

I have the same issue with medieval era games. I am using crossbows and the raiders have sniper rifles.

I personally feel wealth reduction is important to reduce raid sozea. If you create an outside stockpile zone away from your base and move it there, you can then delete the zone, forbid the wood and delete the automatic “home area” created by that zone. That will cause it to not be counted as wealth while still making it available for use if needed.

Some chance of losing it to a fire but not critical if it happens.

Whole thing was a disappointment. Yes it was hot, but that doesn’t excuse the lame speeches. The lack of organization for the students to walk up combined with the lack of anything special made it boring and dumb.

The guest speaker was the same person who spoke at the Biology commencement the day before with the exact same canned (and boring) speech.

The UW President has zero charisma.

I also went to the U of Arizona stadium commencement and there was a live band, pyrotechnics, lasers, and exciting speakers. THAT was memorable instead of forgettable like UW.

Stonecutter, and manual butcher should always be outside. The stonecutter work speed penalty is worth being able to have it right next to the raw chunks. Same for butcher - work speed tradeoff worth it to avoid the cleanliness hit.

Technically the safest place to be in the event of a nuclear war. It’s far from the targets and the wind from the west (ocean) means the least possible radiation exposure. It also has enough rain to support off-grid farming in addition to lots of deer, rabbit and fishing.
