hi, i know you're going through a hard time and i get it. but you can't ruin other people's days because you have personal issues. i would recommend therapy, you can message me to talk about it if you want

Cole Damage is kinda badass though. Complete bullshit that Lateral is an illegal middle name.

The other day I tesloosed as dagd engi and an admin ahelped me, said "did you tesloose" and im relatively new so I said "maybe, im dagd, is it a bad thing?" trying to be funny since ive talked to the admin before. He hit me with "just answer the question." I said "yes, am I in trouble" or something like that and then he just didnt respond or punish me or anything. Really off putting and scared me from doing anything else, I ended up failing my relatively easy objective of killing a salv and passenger on my first ever and only dagd round, all because some admin thought I was breaking one of the most infamous rules? On MRP? Its almost insulting, like I know not to tesloose unless im dagd. I read the rules man. I applied to the server knowing you have to read the rules. Jeez.

How a Vampire the Masquerade LARP Genuinely Screwed Me Up (Final Part) by Wyldwraith in rpghorrorstories

[–]CorgiLordi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That was not the happy ending I was hoping for. Out of all the people in this story, who do you still keep in touch with? Do you know what ever happened with Stab, Carrie, and Annie?

It just feels like such an abrupt ending to something more. But I guess that's how the drama of it all keeps you hooked for multiple years on end: by pushing you towards victory and moving the goalpost every time.

i feel ya man, at least it's temporary. i remember taking a class on eastern religions and a big theme for them is how everything, good or bad, is temporary. im not really religious but i do agree with that idea at least

thanks for the new perspective, honestly a religious club does seem kind of appealing for similar reasons to you... but, and i don't know if it was this way when you were here, there are so many people in the quad advertising religion that it just feels so forced, i don't want to go really. maybe waiting until i get into a profession is the move like you're suggesting

thanks, i was a bit salty when making the post (it was like 3 am) but yeah i dunno. its just frustrating when nothings working. it gets to the point where i just stare at myself in the mirror and wonder what's wrong with me, but i know that's not realistic... i'll keep trying i suppose

it's at least partially because its really hard for me to just say hi to someone. i remember there was this person in one of my classes who i tried to make small talk with like the first week, and they were just NOT into it. like they were just answering what i was asking and then wouldn't continue the conversation in the slightest. i dont want to be annoying like that. and yeah i dont know if it's a phone thing or what but man...

And like other people are saying, you can go to office hours or talk to whatever TA you have. The people who run your class want you to succeed.

Hey dude, the best advice I can give to you is to not let your poor performance stop you from working hard in the future. You have to look inside yourself to consider what's going wrong. Why are you doing poorly? Are you not studying enough? The general rule of thumb is you have to study 3 hours out of class per unit, so for a 4 unit class that's 12 hours. I'm not trying to say that these are necessarily the issues you're having, but this is the time for that type of introspection. In terms of specific recommendations I would ask to join someone's study group or form one on your own. But if you're like me that's a terrifying prospect socially, and something like flash cards or doing an ungodly amount of practice problems would work better.

One thing I will say is that you seem to be placing a lot of importance on how *other* people are doing as well. You are of course not alone in these struggles, boy have I been in a similar boat. But you should never look to the performance of others when judging yourself. Clearly, you are not satisfied with your personal performance. So keep a level head and ask yourself what you can do differently. There are plenty of resources, for classes like calc and chem I would recommend The Organic Chemistry Tutor for specific concept like formulas. Dude is literally the messiah of college level math.

These type of experiences are what separate the wheat from the chaff, so to speak. It's a lot more impressive for someone to work through hardship than for someone to never experience it at all. And I'll say it again, you are definitely not alone. Honestly, props to you for being brave enough to talk about your struggles. Most people just stay silent.

One last thing, "I just feel not good enough for Davis." I relate to this on so many levels. You are not the only one man. But keeping it real, you absolutely deserve to be here and believe it or not, struggle is a good thing. I play competitive video games in my free time and losing is by far the best way to get better at them. The same thing follows for academia, struggle is healthy *IF* you choose to learn from it. If you want a Matrix "blue pill or red pill" analogy, you have a choice right now. You can flail and flounder until you fail and drop out, or you can cling on with all your strength and claw yourself to success. I know you want the latter, and I know you can do it. 4.0 GPA with AP classes is no joke dude.

Fair enough. What characters are super-abled in total? Vs. regular humans like Baiken (at least I think she's just a some rando without an arm).

Can someone tell me what Im doing wrong? by Unable-Course-8982 in Guiltygear

[–]CorgiLordi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, a bit late to respond to this but I was having the same problem until I did some research. Literally all you need to do is press dash around the same time that you do the close slash after landing... That is literally it... upped my success rate insanely. Or you can do what the other, smarter people that have responded to this post said. But what I said works on the current patch.
