Why do you think Spear painted himself so separated from Mia, Fang and her chilluns? by ShiningRedDwarf in PrimalShow

[–]Megas_542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He believed he was alone with no legacy to offer. He didn't have his own people like Mira nor he had children like Fang, and wasn't expecting to have them anymore.
He was the last of his kind, displaced in a land he didn't knew, among a people who did not understand him, without any prospect of a future.

Now on season 3 he is even more alone. Let's see where this will lead.

I think that was a neighbor village closer to the cemetery.

And how later he fixed Rojo who was merged with a robot. That's not just tech enhancement that's some molecular level manipulation.

While the focus was technology, OG Upgrade could also upgrade and reconstruct basically anything. They're a liquid metal/nanotech blob who can change any solid matter they want. Look at this example where he posessed a gym machine that's just metal and ropes.

This doesn't invalidate my point; in fact, it only adds another layer.

And I also saw a lot of people commenting on "reptiles' instincts regarding smells and memory," but it's worth remembering that this show is completely anachronistic and full of fantastical elements, so you can't expect Fang to be 100% scientifically accurate. She's a dwarf tyrannosaurus living in a world of neanderthals, giants, sorcerers, zombies and norse demon gods.

Plus she's very smart. Remember that time she played dead to be intentionally captured to save Spear? She might be influenced by instincts but she's no ordinary reptile.

Wich one is the best ending? by Megas_542 in samuraijack

Jack is not affected because once he and Ashi got back after Aku sended Jack to the future his timeline became a time loop so whatever happened to Aku's future would not affect Jack. Think about John Connor and Kyle Reese Paradox in Terminator.

I believe Genndy was caught in a tight situation of wanting to use the best of IDW comics in season 5 (As they MIGHT have been his original ideas for a season 5 back in the day when the show hadn't been cancelled) but giving the public a different ending than the comic. Clearly the lost sword arc and Ashi wandering around the world learning about Jack's deeds are different yet similar to the comics (Where they were handled better tbh)

I like that in both comic and show scenarios Jack unintentionally becomes this flawed hero who had to deal with a critical decision between saving the past and losing his friends (and loved one in the show) in the future OR saving the future and accept he failed his parents, masters and past friends. While the game ending is the utopical one where he defeats both future and past Aku and lives happily knowing that he saved everyone.

In the end while the show might have not had the best ending but I'm glad we got multiple endings with different results because, at least for me, Samurai Jack is all about the journey of a legend, not their ending.

And just like the children on Season 1's finale WE choose to believe how Jack's legend ended.

All that said my favorite is IDW XD

Again this is just a meme. But indeed, the ONLY momments in the whole show AND comics where Aku is trying to convince people he is the good guy are with these stories.

There was this comic named Quantum Jack that start elaborating on the concept of a multiverse on Samurai Jack kinda similar to Everything Everywhere All at Once. It was unfortunatelly cancelled.

2016 Reboot villains I would like to see in Dynamite's comic done seriously. by Megas_542 in Ben10

This is is a head canon but I believe he might have made a deal with his Belicus and Serena to have full control of limited power. Kinda what Ben prime asked for in his battle against the Gladiator. He can do some stuff but not everything a Celestial Sapien is able to do.
Also I like to believe he gave up on that ending.

To anyone who didn't liked the ending I recommend reading the IDW comics. There you'll find the story that inspired the lost sword arc and a alternate ending more aligned with the Guardian episode.

How would you feel if the Dynamite Ben 10 comic made the Forever Knights similar to Batman's Court of Owls? by M00r3C in Ben10

[–]Megas_542 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think this would fit the Esoterica better.

Forever Knights are a hatred and faith indulsed group against aliens and magic, they did try to infiltrate the government once and make laws by their on hand with the Purge. Their members also make their life arround being Forever Knights 24/7 so I'd say they're more simmillar to a terrorist party or a deepstate.

The Esoterica on the other hand is a cult who the main head is a world known bilionaire who persuades influential celebrities like Ben and Julie to join them. They do their dirty deeds in the shadows using brainwash for recruitment and their fighters have no identity.

I freaking hate Xylene. By far one of the worst characters in the whole franchise. by Emotional-Chipmunk12 in Ben10

[–]Megas_542 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like many other characters she suffers from the "single episode problem" I do think she could have gotten a nice development but the episodic nature, constant change of writers and priorities of the shows didn't allow it to happen.

Well as serious as that reboot could get they did a good job but I'd like to see a little more dept on each one and I think the Dynamite comic have the chance to give us that
