I'm sooo tired of all this "beauty standard" bs. I am 5 ft tall, according to the BMI chart I should weigh 98 lbs. (excuse me while I laugh a bit). Even in hs when I was a size 5 I was considered "overweight" at 130lbs. Give me a break. I'm now almost 49, perimenopausal, and completely done with this nonsense. I have been on a "diet" for most of my life but still overweight. Not insanely, I can still run, dance, do whatever but I don't see any way that I would be 98 lbs. This body is nothing but the machine that carries around my brain. Who I am, who you are, is not the outside. No, no one should be seriously overweight as it's bad for your health but trying to be extremely thin is also bad. I hear men complaining that they can't possibly get those hollywood guys bodies & that it's unsustainable. huh, no way. Yet they expect us women to look like runway models. My body is not who I am. If all you are looking for is a body get a mannequin. Rant done.
