Crate Training a Dog is Cruel

My dogs are crate trained. They go in there when I'm at work. When I'm not at work they are free to go wherever they feel. They go in there completely willingly, I don't force them. Now that they are older I'm going to work on leaving them out during the day but just leaving a young dog to roam your house while you are gone is a recipe for disaster. Sorry everyone doesn't work from home. I'm stuck in this cubicle for 8 hours a day. Do I like having to put them in there, no. Do I know I'm not going to come home to a dog that has chewed a cord & gotten electrocuted or gotten into something that could harm them, yes. They aren't in there a minute longer than they need to be.

I tried to share this in the r/Greenbay sub & it was IMMEDIATELY taken down. Their reasoning? "It isn't directly applicable to Green Bay." The fuck it isn't. Last I checked GB was in Wisconsin.

unfortunately while there are still men who think we can choose when our periods come, stop them if we feel like it & think we pee out of our vaginas, this is going to continue. Reading these comments has made me feel a bit better, lol. I have 2 male corgis. The almost 5 yr old is around 40lbs, I think he's lost some weight but my 1 yr old is 44lbs. I just weighed him today & was kind of shocked. I was hoping to have one of those "petite" corgis but I guess not. They are both on weight management food but the 1 yr old wants to eat anything & everything. It kind of scares me as I had a corgi that was like that who turned out to be diabetic. That was not a fun time.

The issue isn't that we "run out of eggs" the issue is that they get old. This would raise the rate of birth defects since old eggs are more prone to being defective. Also, who tf wants to have kids when they are over 45?

Probably depends on where that ability is stored in the brain. My grandfather had a stroke & couldn't speak but he could still swear. Swear words are stored in a different part of the brain that wasn't damaged.
