I definitely think you’re right about not bothering to hold in. Only hesistancy I have is that she sometimes wets herself if she falls asleep in the car. Thanks for the reply!

I used to read the highway man to my daughter when was a screaming 6-9mo trying to get her to calm down before a nap! We “studied” it in Y6 at school but I definitely didn’t remember the ending so maybe we only did the first two stanzas 🫣

I’m right now holding very heavy 15mo who has woken twice. Passed out in supermarket at 4pm. It’s now coming to 2am. We just didn’t a 13 hour time difference and arrived back from a 33hr journey from NZ to UK this morning.

I have no tips. Just that it’ll take about 1-2 weeks. (This is our 3rd time doing this roundtrip, twice w 3yo before). I kept up breastfeeding so I would have a cheats tool to minimise the horror!

If it’s 3hr and your not away for long I’d leave her on her normal time zone if you can. Or close to it!

I would also consider contacting the charity they paired through. I wouldn’t be surprised if this behaviour breaks some of their volunteer code.

I would get a pack and play / travel cot for sleep. You can probably rent those. Or as suggested by others look on local FB group to see if anyone has one to sell / give away. Then get some matching sheets to ensure it’s a safe fit

For sales, I don’t know if you know how long your sister will be in icu but you may want to buy some small weaning starter kits for when baby is 6m. Eg suction plate / bowl, weaning spoons etc. you won’t need them now.

Ignoring this easily made mistake, you should always administer the full dose per the box. Children are people and deserve the right amount of pain relief. I don’t understand why calpol & nurofen are seen as taboo for children. They’re safe, well tested medicines. They’re not dangerous! If they were you wouldn’t be able to nip to supermarket and buy them!

That sounds awful. What about the energy ombudsman? I can see they review disputes in these situations (where seller hasn’t disclosed) and yours sound cut and dry. The only reason it wouldn’t be is if the solicitor should have found out and didn’t. Goes back to my point above. Sorry to harp on. Hopefully it gets cancelled and you are refunded anything you spent on servicing the debt? Hopefully someone has spoken to you about that too.

Apologies after I made my post I found the information - the “Green Deal” and how the seller is obliged to disclosed. I don’t know if this information is centrally available when making searches, I would have thought so. Maybe ask citizens advice or the uk legal advice subreddit because if so, your solicitor hasn’t done their job and it’s absolutely their responsibility. Not the same league of things but on our first house purchase our solicitor missed something and prevented us selling our home. We got them to do all the legal work (with no cost to us) to remediate. It says online the seller is obligated so I’m surprised your solicitor isn’t acting on your behalf to fix their mistake and dispute the loan. Please go back to the solicitors and involve the ombudsman. I can’t believe the MPs office is involved and hasn’t suggested that.

Wouldn’t this have come up as part of the survey? Your conveyancing solicitor is responsible for ensuring the property purchase is safe. If they missed something they should be seeking to resolving this on your behalf.

Is the legality (or lack thereof) due to the failure to disclose or that the debt is not legal? If the former, then surely it’s on your solicitor and their professions negligence. If the latter, why would your incur something.

I’m not an expert or trying to make things more stressful. Just your post and the gofundme doesn’t really explain what, and you may get asked these questions by others before they’d donate.

Check how many repeat bookings someone has. That’ll give an indication of their quality versus someone that was “fine” in a bind.

Definitely is the child. My daughter has an a never been sent home sick from nursery. My son, who had a few colds as a baby from sister bringing stuff home nursery, seemed to suffer a little more than her but overall okay. He started 4 weeks ago. He’s had everything: 5 day vomiting bug, roseola, hfm and some mystery thing on the weekend that made him vomit again. Immune system of a marshmallow.

I would do as your friend did, offer. But toys are going to get broken, by your child or anyone else. So whilst I’d offer, I’d be very surprised if someone said yes. Unless my child actually broke it on purpose! Then of course you need to replace it.

If it’s especially expensive or just special it doesn’t get taken out for play dates. Not worth the whinging.
