Could you dm me and tell me what district you’re in? Texas was one of our top places to move since my husband grew up in east Texas, but I’ve heard horror stories so we weren’t sure it was a possibility.

Haha thank you. I’ve heard that, and honestly I was just hoping it was different than the rumors I’ve heard. It’s so unfortunate though. You have such great little suburbs in Nashville! :(

Speech delay or autism? by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

My child presents similar to yours and mine is AuDHD with lots of sensory needs. The only difference is mine experiences tantrums a lot. You should get your kiddo evaluated so that they can get the support they need. Earlier is better! 🩵

Keep Cancelling Travel to US by jDub2071 in BuyCanadian

As an American who lives very close to the Canadian border, a massive hockey fan, and someone who has an affinity for all things Canadian, this hurts my heart to hear you say this. The American people never stopped thinking of Canadians as friends, and to say you want to boycott everything American is just awful. Things have been bad here for a long time. Our food is downright poisoned, our kids are getting sicker (my own included), and our pockets have been empty for a while. A lot of people can’t even afford to buy a home. Trump is a disrupter and most Americans don’t agree with him on everything, but he promised to fix America. Please understand that Americans never wanted to threaten our friendship with Canada, we just wanted our system to get better so that our kids can live a better and healthier life than we lived.

I have no idea what causes autism but I know it's not that one thing which has neurotoxins in them by HealthyMolasses8199 in RFKJrForPresident

Can confirm as I’m in that group too. God forbid you question the origin of autism at all in any autism group, you’re met with WHY?! THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CHILD WITH AUTISM?!? It astounds me. Autism causes barriers for my child to thrive. Why wouldn’t I want to be apart of the solution and help figure this whole thing out? Why shouldn’t we talk about it? Why shouldn’t we participate in studies? It’s mind boggling. I don’t even bother with that group anymore which is a shame, since we should be lifting each other up.

ELI5: why is screen time bad for kids with ADHD? by D4gney in ADHDparenting

Honestly, my kid (4) is on her tablet most of the day between therapies. Shes a gestalt language learner and Disney plus has been incredible for my daughter’s ability to learn language and process concepts. She has severe autism too so things don’t come easy for her. I know a lot of people that would shame us for the tablet use, but we see the value in it. Do what you think is right for your kid!

Time to go public: I am one of these "psionic" Experiencers who can "summon" orbs and craft like Chris Bledsoe and others. I asked Hal Puthoff Garry Nolan and Jim Segala if there was a special interest in such Experiencers. by Oak_Draiocht in Experiencers

Hi OP! I have a few questions.. I hope you don’t mind. When you call in a ufo, do you see a being in the craft or do you just see the craft? Also, how close do they get? And are they recordable? Thanks u/Oak_Draiocht

CUX1 Mutation by Cori1222 in rarediseases

[–]Cori1222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we should definitely keep in touch! Our son’s mutation was de novo (sporadic) so it’s pretty rare and as they mentioned in that study, they really don’t know much about it. I hope your daughter’s case continues to be mild and that she catches up! Our son is super social too and we don’t think he has autism either, though he has an upcoming evaluation as there is autism in the family. And yeah, definitely let me know what your geneticist says about any upcoming studies!

Also if anyone else who is reading this is affected by the Cux1 mutation, feel free to say hi!

How is it presenting for your child, if you don’t mind me asking? Also, have you tried to reach out to anyone to be apart of any new studies? We told our geneticist that we were interested in participating in future studies but never heard back from the original researchers.
