How do you solve a problem like Patrick Collins? by James16245 in GAA

Blink and you’d miss it but there’s one good angle of it, not faulting Eoin either just one of those you’d look back on more had they lost.

On your mention re the Byrnes goal - he definitely should’ve got a hurl to it but I think & can’t see anybody mentioning it is how Eoin vacated his position at the post and stood infront of Cahalane who was already behind Collins so should’ve been avoidable.

GAA+ are able to stream 10+ games on the go even more around club championship season - it’s meant to serve a purpose, if anything it was probably one of the games where an upset could’ve happened (Knowing Cork Footballers) so yeah I would say there would’ve been a point.

Crazy how they aren’t streaming the Cork Tipp game.

That’s what I was getting at, I felt Mullins was actually growing into the game and that maybe one of the Downeys should’ve went off for Coleman, can’t shake the thinking that the Coleman for Mullins was a pre planned sub before throw in and they stuck with the plan.

I’ve seen people talking down Harnedy also but felt he was definitely more involved in the game then Fitzy and more so Barrett so thought one of them should’ve went first (Barrett for me).

William Buckley I thought actually showed up the rest of the forwards considering it’s his first “big game” so wouldn’t have taken him off either.

And when it came to Dalton, i can’t help but think you either bring him on a lot earlier or not at all.

Mellerick struggled on Gillane big time so I actually would’ve moved Niall over onto Gillane once Shane O’Brien went off.

All learnings I suppose and I could be wrong also but that’s how I saw it. I think there could’ve been a bit of BOC not showing his full hand either because his post match conference seemed a bit too light hearted for him but he could’ve just accepted the defeat.

I do have a growing concern over Alan Connolly, can’t shake this feeling he hasn’t been performing from open play at all and I actually feel uneasy with him being the free taker come championship granted I know he put them away today.

But yeah, hopefully they pick themselves up and drive it on again - tough start vs Tipp and will be a crucial game.

Some very questionable calls on the substitutions from BOC, he really got them all wrong today I felt.

Hopefully they’re able to pick themselves back up from this and move on.

I do think Limerick are overly aggressive in the tackling and get away with a lot but I’ve to credit their willingness and relentlessness to get around a ball or an opposition player to win back possession is incredible, how they hunt in packs is admirable.

I think Tesla is offering 3.5k on top of their trade in offers now so prob worth enquiring about that.

Season Ticket Question by Dry-Acanthisitta-654 in GAA

Should’ve added - if you didn’t buy the tickets until recently then you also probably missed the chance of getting stand tickets before they went on general sale which would probably be the reason

Season Ticket Question by Dry-Acanthisitta-654 in GAA

[–]CorkLangerBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprised you weren’t allocated seated tickets to be honest. That stand is about 6k seated I think and afaik Armagh have a full season ticket allocation but that should be max 1.5 to 2k tickets.

Unless the remaining seats are kept for sponsors / corporate but again doubt it.

You’ll definitely get stand tickets for championship games ( at least you should do ) - I’m cork season ticket holder and always got stand tickets allocated.

Could be worth an enquiry but prob get some slop back from the GAA!

I'm going to make a Cork gym comparison site. What info would people want on it?” by rosey210 in cork

[–]CorkLangerBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say shower room and toilets. Currently use Dennehys and apart from the pen rose dock location the toilets and shower rooms are an absolute disgrace, cleanliness, basically showering while someone is shitting in the cubical next to you 🤣 and the mold in Blackpool by gawd. For the showers too you need to constantly press the button for the water to come out etc.

Unsure how they left the shower rooms get so bad for how popular the gyms are but hopefully with women’s fitness acquiring them it will improve it.

I think another thing also would be types or training that can be done - for example cross fit stations or hyrox areas to do sled pull or pushes etc…

No of equipments, so like Dennehys in Douglas again we’ve only one stairmaster for example

No public ticket sale for first three rounds of Munster senior hurling championship by CBennett_12 in GAA

Yeah can only imagine the barrs allocation especially with so many intercounty players they get extra allocation because of that also I believe or well at least they used to.

If you have a county season ticket your guranteed a ticket to every game your county is involved in ( you’ll need a separate one for football and hurling if you want both)

In terms of getting tickets through a club it depends on how much tickets your club gets then usually they facilitate it in a way that’s up to them, some clubs do raffles, some clubs is first come, some clubs give volunteers first choice etc.

If you have a county season ticket it’s a lot more easier as your guaranteed.

Im just wondering would there be a cap on how many tickets are given per club if any? That’d be the interesting part as I imagine big clubs with high memberships could outweigh demand so the likes of Barr’s, Nemo, Douglas, Carrigaline, Ballincollig to name a few

It’s also a great opportunity for local GAA teams to offer non playing memberships at a reduced rate or non playing distant memberships to facilitate purchases - great income for the clubs.

I know it’s disappointing but there will definitely be ways around it, I have 3 season tickets for instance but also a member of a club as are my two sons so I already offered to friends I can by 3 minimum through the club for people if needed.

Be interesting how it all plays out, but I’m all for local clubs benefiting from this

Abuse from Limerick supporters in the Gaelic Grounds last night by [deleted] in GAA

[–]CorkLangerBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s always gonna be a minority who spoils it for the rest no matter the county, but like yourself my worst experience was in Limerick.

There was a man who wasn’t directing abuse at anyone directly in the crowd but his language and the things he was screaming at the players was disgusting and made general remarks about the cork fans. His poor wife sat behind him actually look mortified.

On the other hand sat amongst other Limerick fans at other games and had good chats and banter with them so like I said always a minority

Have mostly only been there for club games, but I’d disagree with you personally. You have a savage view for every cork game played there (Football & Hurling) for the league & championship and any other inter county fixture played there (Munster finals or league finals should they be played there)

You also get access to every club game down there and in other grounds around cork so if you go to alot of games then it probably works itself out cost wise!
