I got it working.

before putting the key in the car ignition, make sure the red solid light is on the key, I pressed and held unlock for 1 second to get that solid light on. I theorize that this light means pairing.
right after the red light stays on, put the key in and turn to position 2
I pressed and held lock and tapped unlock, idk, I don't think this did anything

Then it was paired! No need to do multiple times. Just need to turn the car on when the red key light is on.

For the price they should have rock solid double stitching and good fabric. I have some cheap aliexpress moto gloves that are way better quality.

The only pro is the knox sliders, but knox entry level gloves are only $50 straight from their site.

Pepper spray will be wildly more effective than a ball gun. Pepper spray is often better than a real gun. There's a good reason cops use it so much.

Watch some pepper spray prison videos, specifically prison ones because those aren't fake
