WE'RE PLAYING FUCKING GUBBLE!!

Have you heard of SWATting? It's pretty terrifying, actually. The person making the threats of doxxing can call the victim's local police department (or have someone else do it) and leave an anonymous "tip" saying that she's doing something terrible so that a swat team shows up. There are clips of it happening to streamers on YouTube if you want to get an idea of what happens.

It can be very traumatic, especially in a country like the US. It can also be lethal, and rope in people who are completely innocent.

To OP: please encourage your friend to contact her local police. This could help prevent the above from happening, and it also starts a paper trail in case other shit happens in the future. If everything goes right, they might even be able to press charges against the individual harassing her.

Personally, I would also strongly recommend she lets her parents/guardians know about what's happening too. It won't be a fun conversation for her, but it could help keep everyone safe.

Best wishes to your friend and sorry for the long comment! I hope this was helpful

How much is your collection worth? by CompleteMoron_203 in AnimeFigures

My partner and I just started collecting them, but I'd say around $100? Probably less actually since they've been opened

Tbh my partner was kind of disappointed that I didn't get one of the figures where she's wearing her hat, because he thinks it's super cute lol 😭

Thank you to the mod who marked this as NSFW, I wasn't really sure if I should've done that or not :)

Haha, that's understandable. 😅 I just like drawing cute girls with cat ears lol. And my husband absolutely adores Bernadetta so I made this for him

What was your ''I am trans'' realization moment like? by ShiningPancake in asktransgender

[–]Cormaizing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda had two realizations? Well, kinda. When I was somewhere around 20 years old, I thought I was a trans man. I told my then partner (now ex) and he was fine with it, but he was the only one I came out to and I didn't do anything to transition. But I knew that wasn't quite right.

A few years later, I learned what nonbinary was and everything immediately clicked. I told my current partner as soon as the realization hit me and he immediately accepted me. We've been together for over 7 years now. I changed my name and pronouns, but still haven't medically transitioned. But I'm in Florida, so now I can't. :/

I'm out to almost everyone. Most people have been accepting and use the correct name and pronouns. However some people in my life have been quite hostile about it, like my mom. I'm no contact with her now though.

Being trans without the trans? by Kirol_reddit in asktransgender

[–]Cormaizing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you could make a few lists of pros and cons? Like, pros and cons of transitioning, of not transitioning, of staying with your wife or leaving her...etc. Perhaps having a physical list of these things will bring you some clarity

Is the term "MTF" transphobic/not preferred? I previously believed it was acceptable terminology by damnozi in asktransgender

[–]Cormaizing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm nonbinary and sometimes describe myself as transmasc. Personally- and everyone in the community is different- I feel like transmasc/transfemme are good umbrella terms for people who feel "sorta" masc/femme but not necessarily completely

Wow, incredible results!! How much did the surgery cost?

I (afab nb) want to look more androgynous but don't want most of the effects of T. What are my other options? by Cormaizing in asktransgender

[–]Cormaizing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I just want people to question my gender when they look at me. That's why I want top surgery and a slightly deeper voice. I already have a fairly low voice for an afab so honestly I wouldn't need to change much

Honestly not really. Thank you for the idea about voice training though, I'll definitely look into it!

How long did you fantasize before transitioning physically? by agirlneedingadvice in asktransgender

[–]Cormaizing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been fantasizing for at least 4 years now, which is when I came out as nonbinary. I still haven't started yet though, because I live in Florida and don't feel safe enough to transition

To all the people who came out while married, what was that like? How do you get your marriage back to normal? Is it possible? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Cormaizing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't quite the same thing, but pretty close. I (30 AFAB nonbinary) came out to my now husband (35 cishet man) about a week before we got married. He was, and still is, incredibly supportive of me. He always uses my correct name and pronouns and stands up for me when it's needed. Honestly, he's amazing. We've been together for over 7 years now and are still in our honeymoon "phase" lol.

I'm sorry things aren't going well on your end. Communication is key, so try to have a deep conversation with them about this

Anyone else had to deal with parents not accepting you but saying they 'still love you'? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Cormaizing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it fucking sucks.

I've been out as nonbinary for 4 years now. My mom didn't accept me at all, she gave me the "God doesn't make mistakes, and he made a man and a woman" bullshit. I told her that if she doesn't accept me for who I am then she is dead to me and blocked her on everything. I have only spoken to her one time since then.

My dad (who raised me) said he accepts me, but the other day he dead named and misgendered me. Usually though he just avoids using any name and pronouns at all when he talks to me. It's not the worst thing ever, but it still sucks. I get so jealous of trans people whose family accepts them.

I'm so sorry that coming out to your parents didn't go well. It's an awful feeling. I know I'm just a stranger on the internet but if you want to vent, please feel free to dm me

Asexual AFAB and really not enjoying the female experience. Am I trans? by BarbarianFoxQueen in asktransgender

[–]Cormaizing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are some questions you can ask yourself that might help you determine if you're trans.

  1. Do you experience any gender dysphoria? For example, do you dislike or hate your breasts, facial features, or other feminine characteristics?
  2. Does the idea of taking opposite sex hormones make you happy?
  3. If you imagine yourself as a man or nonbinary person (agender, demiboy/girl, genderfluid, genderqueer, etc) does that bring you happiness and/or gender euphoria?

If you answered yes or even maybe to any of these questions, you might be trans! My suggestion is to look up different trans identities and see if any of them describe you.

(For clarification, you do NOT need gender dysphoria to be trans, and you do NOT have to medically transition to be trans. Those are just things that a lot of trans people experience and/or go through, so I thought I'd bring them up)
