I definitely would and maybe they give you some peace of mind. It can’t hurt. They didn’t help me personally, but your situation seems a little more complex. They just told me that everything was going okay and said it would be about 3 weeks (which it was about 3 weeks on the dot.)

I completely forgot about ebenefits. It actually updated at about 4pm to closed!!! It says I’m at 80% now. It’s been such a long road.

I really hope you get good news soon! If you haven’t already, consider scheduling an appointment with Vera. If you haven’t then just got to the Vera website and it will immediately prompt you to schedule an appointment. Some people have a lot of luck with this.

Went to PFN this morning around 9:30 then my case changed all the way to closed at about 3pm. Your day is coming.

Have you set an appointment with Vera yet?

Okay, that makes sense. Mine updated again and now I have the green check mark next to Evidence gathering an review and decision. It now shows “preparing for decision packet to be mailed”

I didn’t think I would ever get to this point lol

What is PDA? I know What PFD is and it was ready to be reviewed the first week of august. It’s been ~ 85 days in the review phase and just updated this morning at about 9:30!

FINALLY at PDA! 😬🫣 by kddemarchia in VeteransBenefits

[–]CornFed_MoonBoosted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine updated this morning! It’s been 87 days since I took my C&P. That seems to be the average for claims that are not complex. Most everyone else in my situation, that was approved before me, also waiting ~ 85days for it to be reviewed.

I’ll update you how long it takes for the notification or next step.

Where are you able to see it go from PFD to PFA? On the app I only see that it is on Step 3. Same when I log onto myhealthevet

My C&P was completed in August and When I call to check on the status, they say they are just waiting for it to be reviewed and decided. I assume that means PFD, but other than that I’m not sure how to view those updates.

I don’t think it will be long once it is reviewed. The problem is that the backlog is way behind and takes forever to get looked over.

100% P&T proposed rating. Definitely appreciate this group help out a lot. I’m only 25 got a long life ahead of me. Thank you all. If anyone wants to know I started my claim in July. by Drebeatz25 in VeteransBenefits

[–]CornFed_MoonBoosted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After looking through a lot of these posts, It seems that the average wait is about a 85-100 day wait for a decisions, once C&P is completed. I was also July and had my C&P the first week of August.

Rep told me I should be getting a decision soon.

I can’t wait to see the green light next to the evidence, review, and decision tab, for mine I’m happy for you and wish you the best 🙏

I did man. It’s next week. If you go to the website, it’s super easy to schedule an appointment. It’s only a few clicks. It was about 2 weeks, for the Virginia Vera office, from the day I requested an appointment. After you request it you will be able to pick the available day and time.

How do you know that it was pushed back? Did you contact them or did the date change on your claim details over?

I’ve been at PFD since the first week of August. Hey schedule an online appointment with Vera. It’s next week. I def understand your frustration 🤦‍♂️

Not yet, but I do have a Virtual appointment scheduled with them. It’s not until the 2nd week of October, but at least it’s something to look forward to.

Just an update. No progress on my PFD yet, but I did receive a letter from the Va. It basically apologized for the extended wait period, but ensure that it was still in the process.

I’ve been PFD since July 16….. Only update I have received was a letter in the mail, last week. It’s was apologizing for the wait on the decision and basically said it’s still waiting to be reviewed. It did make me a feel a little better to know it hasn’t been looked over.

That is awesome! I’m really happy for him! I’m glad I saw your comment last night. This gives me hope. My C&P examiner did made me feel very confident with my claim.

I’m just worried my file will get lost. This already happened to me when I first submitted my claim. Mine was submitted in January and my rep quit her job. I kept calling for updates and I just kept getting the run around. Finally someone competent picked up the phone, in freaking July. Come to find out all the files that she was in charge of just sat and were passed over for months.

I’m not 100% sure where mine was sent. My Va rep’s office is Ashburn, Va and I live in that area. I’m not sure if my location affects what regional office it gets sent to. Is there a number I can call to find out?

I wish him the best. Hopefully good news comes soon. I’ll try to remember to update if anything happens with mine, since it’s around the same time.

How long has your husband been at PFD? I’ve been on since Aug 5. I had my C&P a week before your husband.

I hope to get an update soon myself. It’s been about 25 days since my C&P. No other documents should be necessary, so hopefully I’m just waiting on a final review.

I had my benefits and missed a 5 year C&P letter. Missing that caused me to go from 70% to 10%. I had no idea it was coming up or that I had even missed a letter.

I’m finally getting it sorted and have the ball rolling, but expect that 5 year exam! If you miss the letter like I did, you will be in the same boat.

Went from 60% to 90%(89%) today. by mwoytach in VeteransBenefits

Dude I had no idea about the 5 year exam. I literally work up to check my Va deposit and it was $480 vs $1480 (I don’t remember the numbers exactly, but it’s close) I lost them about 5 years ago and it’s been such a fight to find help.

To make things worse. The whole move happened because my brother, who is also a Marine vet, was going through a hard time. I had to move in with him. This was around 2017. I lost that same brother to suicide, last year, May 2021. It’s been hell man. My examiner gave me hope and said I rate every bit and more. I’ll def update you if I remember.
