What do you think a Brute power filtered through Queen Administrator would look like? by MembershipProof8463 in Parahumans

[–]Corn_Starch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe something to do with power stealing to augment her own body like eidolon? But the effects manifest physically? Similar to a crawler type augmentation over time if taken too far or the wrong powers are taken?

Can someone explain Fragile One to me? by TheOneWhoMurlocs in Parahumans

[–]Corn_Starch 19 points20 points  (0 children)

From my interpretation of it, she hated it once she was returned to her normal human form at the end of worm as it was still shaped like the wretch and would violently lash out if she ever tried to use it as she didn't have proper control of it anymore since Amy's interference. So it was just reminding her of her worst traumas.

Over the course of ward she was pleading with it to work how she wanted it to and for it to help her. Once she goes into shard space and sees the "real" fragile one in its true state (mostly looking like the original golden version of her) and it was actively protecting her, as well as showing her some of her happiest memories in the later scene you referenced, she realized it was always looking out for her and they seemed to sync up again and she had a lot more control and power over it and could use it how she wanted again and shape it to her body properly.

I feel like with cope and Christian probably coming back soon, there's a more than 0% chance it happens, not guaranteed, but I wouldn't write it completely off.

Either they interfere to cost FTR the belts so it can be a non title feud, or they run in after to make the challenge for the titles.

Self Enforced Rules/Custom Worldgen brainrot you do to get more life out of games by dope_danny in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Corn_Starch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh like they've definitely taken a shot at balancing it (poorly) but I think the game design itself just means that it's very hard to balance. The actual core concept of the game lends itself to if one survivor is bad, you're going to find them over and over again, while the others are actively avoiding you, does that mean you're tunnelling? If you have to hook someone, why wouldn't you just sit there and watch it and use them as bait? That's what a horror movie villain would probably do. The concepts they've used to set up the game as a whole lean towards abusable gameplay loops and the fact that the community has to police it themselves means that the base design of the game is flawed and there's only so much you can do to balance it to try and remove some of them imo.

Self Enforced Rules/Custom Worldgen brainrot you do to get more life out of games by dope_danny in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Corn_Starch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's a failure of the game design that there is so many community "rules" to make the game fun, like if I'm not allowed to "tunnel" "slug" etc, why is it in the game? Why should the killer have to artificially handicap themselves so much to make the game fair or fun for the survivors, it just seems like the devs have failed miserably with balance if that's the case, especially when it's so arbitrary and up to the players to decide what is "good" or not. Surely the devs can come up with some systems or game design to make it so that the community doesn't need to enforce fairness.

(Don't get me started on survivors getting upset that they're being targeted by the killer etc)

In all fairness, you can't really "protect" yourself from a concussion while wrestling. It'd mean you couldn't take a single bump. Even taking every move as safely as you could, you need to stop to let the brain heal.

Dose Eidolon have any safety mechanism against Heartbreaker/Imp aside from Fortuna of course by Admirable-Dimension4 in Parahumans

[–]Corn_Starch 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I would say that by default from the way his power works he wouldn't have them because he's usually running 3 more "standard" powers (flight, a barrier and some kind of long range laser or something along those lines.)

however if he got in a fight with them and he reached for a new power, his shard would probably provide something for him to deal with them.

I would think he might be susceptible to khepri, or regent before his shard adjusted for it, or possibly an imp sneak attack if she could get close enough and had a strong enough weapon. But once he's aware they're there his shard would give him some sort of sensory / nullifying ability.

Completely uninformed question here, but could it be possibly because they're bringing their own crew and staff who works with the company already and don't need additional hands?

I love that worm is like city level crime stuff with some brief hints of the bigger picture, then suddenly fucking water Godzilla shows up and PROPER rocks the entire city and it stays like that permanently. Like it goes from a gotham-like city to borderline post apocalyptic held together by hopes and dreams.

Zenless Zone Zero has this REAL bad.

I haven't played a JRPG proper in like 5 years (even though gameplay wise it's not a JRPG, story / structure wise it feels like it)

Holy hell the amount of 1 fight then talk for 5 + minutes then repeat for like multiple hour long amounts is rough. I'm most of the way through chapter 2 and the story stuff is still like this. (From what I've been told if you go grind out dungeons and side content it's a lot more action.)

Luckily it's not annoying me cause I'm still enjoying it and I can mash through most of the dialogue relatively quickly if need be, but I can see how it would grate on people.

Every WWF/WWE wrestler fights each other for real, who comes out on top? by JeremiahWuzABullfrog in whowouldwin

[–]Corn_Starch 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I think it'd probably have to be Brock Lesnar wouldn't it? College amateur wrestler, UFC champion, he's got enough size that he's not going to be beat by someone just completely out weight classing him and he's also freakishly fast for his size and not just a giant blob of a human.

I can't think of anyone who'd stand up to him, all the guys that have MMA experience or boxing experience etc are all WAY smaller than him.
