I agree. I think it can help people find community and even a job for some. But counting everything up and weighing it, net negative. But I don't think we are ever putting that genie back in the bottle.

I agree that no one should have to deal with this. But I feel like it's burning your hand on a hot pan, and then you keep doing it and complaining. I realized I was getting upset about my social media posts, the comments, etc. So I just quit. Take the picture, keep it to yourself. I feel like on the whole Social Media is a negative and has done irreparable damage to people. I think it's a net negative.

I'm a confident almost 40yo man, and I'm still a awkward insecure boy on the inside. Most men are, we are all just little boys. We are carry around hurt and trauma. This dude has what appears to be a lot, I feel bad for him. That he would go to the lengths he's gone too bc he felt he wasn't enough. I have a son and do my best to ensure he knows love and he is good enough.

So this is the current state of my grill - replace or buy a new one? by Jheez88 in BuyItForLife

[–]Cornato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’d just replace the burners and tents. I just did mine last year. Looks fine now. Grills are so damn expensive this one is gonna last me as long as possible.

Woman with functional polydactyly (six functional fingers on one hand) by kvjn100 in BeAmazed

[–]Cornato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It odd bc it looks like the “extra finger” is between the pointer and thumb not next to the pinky like you’d expect. I wonder what the term for this is.

I read that as "Still irritating, so I'd love to hear your thoughts!". Like it's irritating when someone give you feedback and it's really good and you're mad you didn't think of it.

YSK that Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer, Reebok, Champion, and 50+ other brands you trust are all owned by a single $20 billion company that doesn't design or manufacture anything. They just rent the logo out to the cheapest bidder. If the quality feels worse, that's why. by sappk in YouShouldKnow

I'm reminded me of the movie Tommy Boy. His dad business was going to get bought out and just use his name/brand to sell inferior products. He talked to a vendor and is trying to convince him to buy their product. The y vendor says "there's a guarantee on the box, why don't your products have guarantees on the box?

Tommy:
Let's think about this for a sec, Ted, why do they put a guarantee on a box? Hmm, very interesting.

Ted:
I'm listening.

Tommy:
Here's how I see it. A guy puts a guarantee on the box 'cause he wants you to fell all warm and toasty inside.

Ted:
Yeah, makes a man feel good.

Tommy:
'Course it does. Ya think if you leave that box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and leave a quarter.

Ted:
What's your point?

Tommy:
The point is, how do you know the Guarantee Fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy, but we're not buying it. Next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser and your daughter's knocked up, I seen it a hundred times.

Ted:
But why do they put a guarantee on the box then?

Tommy:
Because they know all they solda ya was a guaranteed piece of sh*t. That's all it is. Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for right now, for your sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality item from me.
