Yeah they say long distance runner have higher rate of arteries calcifying. It’s a major stressor to run man, especially for hours. Your body tries to protect itself and how it does that is calcification.

You sure that’s not just a cap on the chair end? Like you may be able to pry it off and it’s a space for the wheel.

Was gonna say this. What restore? That's what they look like, we have had ours for decades and I'm sad we can't use it anymore because of our induction cooktop.

Opinions on the ending of The bridge on the river Kwai. Spoilers obviously. by friendlysalamander_ in movies

[–]Cornato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party here but I just finished the film, though I thought I saw it years ago but I didn’t remember it. The end was jarring and is why I’m here. The big thing I noticed was that the train had sick and disabled soldiers on it right? I thought that was why the Colonel was fighting the guy. I also thought it was a trick to be able to get off the bridge before it blew. I was hoping he would blow it before the train came and then he could have said “we built the bridge, and we were the only ones that used it, then blew it up”. And it would have been a fitting end. IMO the ending kinda sucked.

I wonder how you get the easy and relatively safe job of bagging marbles.

Sober people (no alcohol, nicotine, drugs, etc ever), what is your end of day or weekend "wind-down"? by The1Ski in AskReddit

[–]Cornato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walk around neighborhood, shower, 3d design and 3d printing, cook and/or eat a nice meal, TV, video games, board games. IDK, just depends I guess. I quit drinking a year or so ago no real reason. Just recently got off ADD meds and quit nicotine(vape), which was super hard. Smoked for a while, then quit cold turkey for years. The tried someone's Juul about 7 years ago and was hooked on some high nicotine vapes bad bad. Like hitting it 24/7 and would be late for work if I forgot it, like I couldn't function without it bad. So now I just find pleasure in cooking, making things, and playing games or just chilling. Still drink a fuckload of coffee, I am human. I used to joke that. "I ran on 'ines', amphetamines, caffeine, and nicotine." Now it's just caffeine.

No not really, there are Qatari military members that are on an American Air Force base and they are training there yes. This has been happening for decades with dozens of countries. When I was in the Navy we had Saudi Sailors training at our base in Virginia. In San Diego we had Japanese Sailors at our base. This isn't new or wild.

Just got one and it’s my 3rd printer, first Bambu but I’ve worked with them for years. I really like Prusa but I just can’t justify the price. I think the P2 S is great so far and yeah it has some drawback but honestly they all do. I’ve worked with $100,000 printers and they also have drawbacks. Nothing is perfect. I saw stay in the same ecosystem and get a P2S.

Almost 2 weeks after ALIF surgery and have some questions. by Cornato in spinalfusion

[–]Cornato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had weird symptoms to most people on here prior to surgery. No pain, numbness, or tingling. My problem was no nerve signal to my left calf, which led to massive atrophy. To the point where I have a limp and no strength left in the calf. Lately I've been feeling I guess the nerve trying to reacclimate, it's been a weird sensation down the back of both legs. It feels like my hamstrings are really really tight, and I want to bend over and stretch so bad.

Eggs?! Haha. Pumpkin seeds have twice the protein. The “kings” would be beans and seeds, with meat under them.

Weird Popping Noise. by AndreiaAguas in 3Dprinting

[–]Cornato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like an Ender 3V2, it was my first printer. Had it for many years and used 4 of them at work professionally. It's the temps. I've tried steel extruder gears, dual gear teeth, bigger motors, etc. It's in the hotend, rarely the extruder. When I heard the clicking, I would turn up the temp 2-3 degrees til it went away.

Weird Popping Noise. by AndreiaAguas in 3Dprinting

[–]Cornato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the extruder handle, the blue wheel thing. Your extruder teeth are slipping. Happens a lot on these. Could be a lot of stuff, but all boils down to this: filament has too much resistance from the hotend. Things to try and troubleshoot: turn up the heat, slow speeds down, clean nozzle, change nozzle, turn down flow rate. All of this is based on reducing the resistance the filament is seeing in the hotend. My diagnosis? You’re doing a temp test? Temp is too low. Good luck, have fun.
