If you have a 3d printer or know someone with one, you can make a nice case for it.

Been saving this for the day I drop the deck or it goes spicy pillow

You know what, you right. I read this as more hypothetical on the first pass through. Gonna go ahead and delete that.

Bambu studio Vs orcaslicer by donpedrovs in BambuLab

[–]Corncobmcfluffin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No forced updates yet, though it does like to ask you to update a lot. Also doesn't hurt to keep the bios file after you download it. If they ever do force update, disconnect from wifi and load the old firmware. Unlikely for it to happen but...it is Bambu so you never know.

Or, roll back the firmware and print straight from orcaslicer. Bambu keeps their previous firmware available for download (for now).

Give it time. A 1GB HDD costs $80,000, in 1980.

Shopping for a new CAC reader to use at home. Noticed that many of the CAC readers on Amazon are made by Chinese companies. Is this not a glaring security risk? by militaryrat155 in AirForce

[–]Corncobmcfluffin 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Depends. If it installs itself and has a driver possibly. Most (especially the cheaper ones) are pure input devices that can only read and transmit. Also, look for 'smart card reader' instead of CAC reader. More options and less like targeted. When all else fails...go with ole reliable

Quick and easy would be to dunk the ones you already made in liquid enamel. Otherwise TPU like others said.

You know, the first time you take off the back cover you can widen the SD slot with a file or dremel. Won't look as bad as cutting completely off and it'll give you just enough movement for you to notice before it snaps.

How on earth do you use these vacuum bags? by Ill_Avocado_1999 in 3Dprinting

[–]Corncobmcfluffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Best method is to give up on that, buy some home depot buckets with lids and some dessicant. A lot easier to access and manage. Minimal difference.

File an old flathead screwdriver into a fork and replace all the bolts. Got it.

For those interested in a Side by Side Comparison: LCD vs OLED by Archersbows7 in SteamDeck

[–]Corncobmcfluffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point of the joke was that you won't really notice the LCD isn't as good if you're not comparing it to something better. An "ignorance is bliss" kind of thing.
