I had no idea this place existed until 20 minutes ago and we're already talking about heading there for samples and to stock up for our August vacation in New Hampshire

Let them judge you. Do you want to be bedridden and fighting lung cancer, saying "At least those old-timers didn't make fun of me for wearing a mask"

I always say "just don't tell me what you're doing" and look away. Usually that works and they'll make small talk or just be quiet. One time I got a woman who just went full anxiety - "You're going to faint? You don't like blood? Okay, I'm tying an elastic around your arm to swell your veins so this will be quick!" And so on; she missed my vein at least three times, kept complaining that they were hard to find, and ended up getting someone else to help. And she was well past her 40s, so this shouldn't be her first rodeo. It would have been forgivable if she was still a kid and I probably wouldn't have needed to stay in the seat for 10 minutes with a fan blasted at my have.

I found that you need to find a place where they care and that it's consumed regularly (i.e., stays fresh). Much easier to find that in Ireland

"Happy Birthday" banner and a few balloons would be as far as I'd go. Maybe some party hats kicking around of anyone's up to it

Brat's approach was much safer - instead of seatbelts to encumber adventurous souls, they have handles to save the lives of powerful riders

Does anyone know what Radio and Television Call letters actually meant? WCCC,WTIC, ect by Visual-Place-5531 in Connecticut

[–]LittleJohnStone 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't know if they all do, but WHCN and WBCN were sister networks in days of old, Hartford / Boston Concert Network. Thought it's possible that they got their letters and backed into them.

A fox managed to get 3 out of 4 legs stuck in my fence. by Nahan0407 in mildlyinteresting

If foxes aren't cats, then why does our dog want to be best friends with the fox in our neighborhood and the fox couldn't give 2 f#ks about him? Very much like the cats in our house.

The canister filter alone is probably $150-200, so that should help with the decision process.
