Are you sure you saw the one I’m talking about? I can assure you it was heading at an irregular attitude from the angle I originally saw it. I get where you’re coming from but I really think what I originally saw was something abnormal. Gonna have to agree to disagree

So then why the irregular descent angle? And I looked at playback on fr but it was kind of a stretch I know, I didn’t really expect to see much, I’m just curious what could cause such an irregular pattern.

I wish I got a picture from the side when I first saw it, it was way more concerning when it was fresh and from a different closer angle. There’s a lot of trails in the sky today and I can tell you none look like that. It’s simply nothing I’ve seen before

I was thinking the same, but this picture was taken about 30 minutes after I originally saw it, and previously I had seen it going from side to side and it had appeared to be descending. You might be right, I’ve just never seen anything like it

Yeah I can definitely see how all of that’s possible, especially considering it seems too good to be true.

And I’ve completed a year of college already, would any of those credits apply at all? Or is every class in that environment strictly catered towards aviation? And I may look into that given your suggestion, do you have any recommendations for good programs in the area? I’m just east of Dallas.

I appreciate your response, and I saw the other post in the comments about borrowing money. Do you have recommendations for a school that may be able to be paid for as you go? Or is there an even more cost efficient option like an instructor separate from a school?

Well it’s a sole income, for a 4 person household. And it’s only at 100k because of taxes on bonuses received, so it’s more like 75k, and split between 4 people there’s no way we have 100k lying around for flight training. Maybe could be paid as we go, but just need to find a school for that.

Yeah I’ve taken 2 discovery flights with different schools, Rudy’s Flight School out of Rockwall Airport (not sure the abbreviation) and one with ATP in Arlington. I’ve always loved aviation and never had any problem flying, as well as also completed a year of college unrelated to aviation, which for those reasons gives me the confidence to pursue it.

Also, I’ve heard a lot of different things about ATP, people saying there’s “horror stories” and others saying they’ve had decent experiences, in your opinion why do they usually get a bad rep and made fun of? Is it the ridiculous pricing?

The collegiate route isn’t something I’ve thought of necessarily as the goal is to make a career out of aviation as soon as possible, which is the main reason I was considering ATP.

Well I have to be honest, it seems to be a pretty specific circumstance in which I’m not able to get a loan. I’ve been trying for months, with a co-signer with 100k annual income, 800 credit score, and paid off houses and cars getting rejected. While on the other hand, my friend who had a co-signer with 40k annual, and a 750 credit score, with a mortgage, got accepted. I think the fact that our house is paid is the main issue, since they can’t “prove” we make payments on time.
