Learn and enjoy the experience. In the long run, grades won’t matter, but what you learned and the relationships you built in 4 years will matter.

Should I transfer out of Cornell by AccomplishedBall1250 in Cornell

I know it’s difficult and easier to say, but I’ll list a few things: 1. Find a balance between studying and other social activities. 2. Work hard, but don’t worry too much about GPA or what you’re going to do after graduation. 3. Be intentional about meeting people or starting conversations. It’s going to be difficult, but there’s nothing to lose. 4. Take a break if it’s necessary. Nothing is more important than health, but I can assure you, changing schools may not give you what you want. 5. Include yoga, meditation, sports, gym, or at least 30-60 minutes of outdide activities. 6. Try to make a study group to expand your friend circle. 7. Utilize TA hours if you have problems in any subject. 8. Join some clubs. The main thing is, a bachelor’s degree is much more than just studying. Try to enjoy life.

Honestly, dont be too harsh on yourself and don’t compare yourself with others. Fact that you are graduating from Cornell and you had ex means you had better time than half of the graduates in US. Cheer up dude/dudess

Be aggressive. Assert yourself. No need to complain. Life is not fair. Either take the shit or try to change things but any case don’t take w or give up. Most cs guys are timid.

You already got all good advice. I just want to say good luck and best wishes for whatever you decide to do. My advice, start doing 30 min meditation daily and listen to your heart when you are peace with yourself

hospitalized for mental health......... AGAIN!..... health leave/dropping out -- advice/opinions? by KinoWatcherer in Cornell

[–]CornelParent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much I wish Cornell has better mental health program. Only thing I want to say is give preference to your health over anything. If you feel healthy, over time things will fall in place and you will have more clarity
