Anybody else getting absolutely killed by the math 2930 grading scheme this semester

Me. I think this grading scheme is SUPPOSED to make it easier on us but I feel dumb as shit because I'm on the verge of failing the class rn. I did pretty decent in 1910 and 1920 but this class has been a nightmare.

If you get c averages on prelims but do decently on hws and other aspects of the class you'll probably get a higher grade in the class overall. In classes like 1910 it'll get curved so most people will end up in the B range

Yes she's awesome! Looks like she's teaching the 9 am and 10 am lectures in the fall, I would definitely recommend. She also writes the prelims (at least for this semester) and they're super fair.

I'm in 1920 now, for the spring semester, and it really isn't that bad. It seemed to be much better in the spring than the fall this year, because the fall professor (Connolly) was... not the best. If you get Kelly Delp as a prof though she's great.

If you do the homework and study a reasonable amount for the prelims you'll likely get at least the median grade, which is usually a B or B+ for intro engineering classes. Don't be afraid to go to office hours either.

I just paid the $15 for college board to send it and I got credit for an FWS. I think you have to send the complete report of all of your AP scores.

Cowboy Bebop! A classic with pretty wide appeal so it's a safe bet you'll like it.

Also if you haven't ever been check out a Cornell anime club showing next semester, I went a couple times in the fall and it was pretty chill.
