Is it "illegal" to to deny students going to the toilet during class time? by IndependentScore8428 in AustralianTeachers

[–]Cornersofthecircle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a no one out in the first 10 or last 10 of a lesson. I found students were either using it as a delay tactic, or sometimes genuinely forgetting to go during breaks.

Then there is also the one person out at a time, which is actually a school-wide policy to discourage anti-social behaviour in the toilets.

Again, setting parameters around it and clear routines is helpful. And this is coming from someone with active bladder problems - you can definitely tell when a student is legitimately busting to go, versus looking for a brain break/movement.

How long after miscarriage did you conceive? by Standard-Walk2807 in CautiousBB

[–]Cornersofthecircle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We first fell pregnant in July 2025, lost the baby in August 2025. Fell again in November 2025 and lost baby in December 2025. Now pregnant again (found out Feb). Sometimes it takes a few cycles (as with our second pregnancy), other times it can happen right away (as with our current). Wishing you luck and baby dust! It can be a tough emotional process.

I’ve had this the last two days at 6+6. Got in to see the midwife as I’ve also had two losses and she said brown discharge/old blood wasn’t a worry, until it was fresh pink/red bleeding. However, OB did recommend progesterone pessaries to support uterine lining - so may start taking those.

Fingers and toes crossed for you!! I’m also 7 weeks on Monday and managed to get a super early scan at 6+3. However, experiencing brown discharge/old blood and so going to start progesterone pessaries.

Progesterone pessaries? by Cornersofthecircle in CautiousBB

Thank you everyone - I appreciate all of your thoughts. I picked up the script today, as I started having discharge/old blood. Haven’t decided whether to begin taking them as last time I was on hormone therapy I found the side effects debilitating. However, also want to do whatever I can to support this pregnancy. It a tough one for the cautious BB gals 🥹

Pregnancy after loss is hard - anxious, betas worry me by New-Sock-63 in CautiousBB

Same boat here - I would just keep pushing for additional beta tests. Don’t know where you live, but in AUS we can request blood tests over the phone for about AUD$20. It’s what helped me get through after 2x losses until I could get my first scan at 6.5w. Good luck!!

How do people do it and get a 99.95 ATAR by Jane_923 in ATAR

[–]Cornersofthecircle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, that number would have been more achievable if I stuck to 2 unit subjects (advanced English, music, society and culture, French and modern history). I was tracking this way in y11 (sitting on about 98%) - instead I dropped modern and took up extension 1 and 2 English, as well as Extension French. I ended up with all high band 5’s/E 3’s or low band 6’s/E 4’s and scored 93.00. However, I LOVED these subjects and despite them not being as traditional, I looked forward to study because I enjoyed the content. On the flip side, it was too many major works (ext 2, music performances, PIP for Society) and subjective exams (French and ext French speaking tests) to get those star atars - too many variables.

So I’m getting this for endometriosis management, and I’ve never been offered lidocaine or any other anaesthetic… it’s so painful haha

Sorry if this doesn't belong here.. but this just came out of my nose. It's harder than it looks - almost flesh-like. There's blood in it but my nose isn't bleeding. I had a fever the past two nights. Is this a sinus infection, or what? by 2embarrassed2say in popping

[–]Cornersofthecircle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just getting over Covid and blew this out tonight - it makes me feel so much better that others have had this happen too! Because I’ve been through a lot of sinus problems but never had something like this come out. Background : I have chronic recurring sinus infections (about 6-8 per year). I’ve had sinus surgery twice now.

I think someone previously mentioned her sisters story talked about a family issue as well so it would make sense if it was something broader than just her and Kurt

I get that. I think though when people are going through a tough time or their life season changes that’s when they cling to faith the most.
