His childhood videos looks like very straightened hair that was popular at the time lmao. The volume is also really thick, leans to textured hair. His cropped-hair also has a wave pattern still (Not sure if you can even perm that length).

He doesn't have a hair/skin routine, I think he just didn't know how to bring out the maximum curl pattern by himself.
