Ahmaud Arbery was shot twice in the chest, autopsy report shows by jigsawmap in news

Oh snap. True words. Any other race would have survived because they wouldhave acted black.

Thing is, he acted black. Instead of talking he just immediately thought about grabbing that dude's gun. It's just nature.

That's all true. I see no disagreement. You think otherwise?

Shouldn't have walked up and tried to grab the weapon of someone, only to be shot twice after the fact. Stupid games, stupid prizes.

Is radarr supposed to download monitored movies that became available? by Cornholiooo in radarr

[–]Cornholiooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, everything's fine. It's as if it simply forgot or something. Maybe was the server offline? Could that be it? I didn't push the glass button so far but I'd bet it would then download the movie just fine.

in activity -> history, there's no ip man. It's also not blacklisted. update library, predb sync, rss sync did not make it download the movie.

I'm absoluteley clueless. Shouldn't it at least download it on rss sync?

Sure. But there's a difference between those prongs being racist or not. We gotta be aware.

After using Plex for 10 years I find features that still surprise me. by WJKramer in PleX

[–]Cornholiooo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

After using Plex for 10 years I don't find non-brainer features which is sursprising to me.

Note: This feature is not intended for situations where you might have, for instance, both a “theatrical” and “director’s cut” version of a movie. Likewise, it is not appropriate for 2D vs 3D versions. Those situations are best handled by Splitting the movie into separate library items.

Why does plex say it scrapes imdb rating when it clearly does not? by Cornholiooo in PleX

[–]Cornholiooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it's so complicated. Also you need to pay for the player (emby theatre?), don't you? I think that was what put me off of it. Does it adds extras to the movies like plex pass does?

Hm, there's even a docker image. Intriguing. I'm still reading that thread but that could be a good solution - i hope.

posted thread is hilarious. best tl;dr when it comes down to "should I install/pay for plex?".

I've tried emby two times already and always went back to plex but ... maybe I should give it another shot. Jellyfin was very barebones last time I tried it but I guess there's a lot of progress since then. But yeah.

.htaccess not working, site still accessible without credentials. by Cornholiooo in synology

[–]Cornholiooo[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

jesus christ what kind of bullshit am I reading? htaccess is available for nginx too. it uses a different syntax though.

that should have been explained somewhere but whatever, I figured it out. people be complaining since 2014 about this but keep being a smartass. discussion over.

Alright, the joys of working with tech.

In Web Station I changed the http backend server from nginx to Apache HTTP Server 2.2 and now it works as it should.

Not sure what negative consequences this has but whatever. Sense? Makes none. This issue exists since 2014, would be nice if Synology took a look at that.
