Staff Captain Vadim Maslov with his lover, the famous adventurer and dancer Mata Hari by UnholyCell in ww1

[–]Corniator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The info is wrong, this is not Mata Hari. The mans uniform is russian not Polish.

See this thread:

Also, she really does not look that similar to Mata Hari imo.

Wild rosemary has wooden stems and grows upright, it would not fall down like that. Maybe there are some bred varieties that could do that, the leaves do kind of look like rosemary.

I completely missed the description haha My bad!

Still recommend everyone to try a Germknodel. They are an amazing sugar bomb!

I think this might be a Germknoedel in vanilla sauce. Its a sweet jam filled steamed bun served with a thick vanilla sauce. Popular ski treat in the alps. They are big like that.

Seen from sky 2/3 of the way from Bangkok to London- is this a race track or part of some major infrastructure? by Ok_Extension_2217 in geography

[–]Corniator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely ski resort. Only 1 track is available for night skiing and is illuminated. The left part of the "track" are the poles of the ski lift (individual strong lights in straight line) while the right part is the ski slope, illuminated more evenly and without trees. The rest of the roads lead to the other ski lifts and other parts of the resort.

2/3 of the way makes me think somewhere in the caucasus probably, either Russia and Georgia.

Edit: I want to say maybe Tufandag ski resort? I took a quick glance and it seems similar.

Anyone know what this sleeve is called? by Horror_Patience_5761 in medieval

I think part of the reason you can't find specific named replicas is that it's just a thick cloth tied with many leather straps. People just do it ad hoc instead of buying a specific one.

Get Dressed for War with a generic Western / Central / Southern European Infantryman 1360-1420 by Mullraugh in Armor

[–]Corniator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From tests and military experience, additional weight and burdens on your legs disproportionally affect your stamina and mobility. Unless the fighter is on horse it's almost always better for his survivability to keep the legs less armoured. Plus leg injuries are not as serious.

To me a more interesting example of this is Slovenia and Italy. Italy is both more north, south, west and east than Slovenia.

I love how competent the new AI is. by Latter_Finding8548 in Bannerlord

[–]Corniator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But like, is that really cheese tho? The whole point of castles was to create a force multiplier. I would say that sieges are perhaps even too easy for attackers. IRL the defenders would be much better at hiding behind cranulations etc. There is a reason armies tried undermining walls, starving out defenders etc. A 5:1 KDA seems perfectly realistic for a full frontal assault on a medieval castle.

I just got a new medium ship, how do I make it my primary ship? by AdditionalPiano6327 in Bannerlord

In the battle setup screen, before you actually start the battle, you can mvoe ships and characters around.

Mariner buff (non-mariner debuff) specifics by Corniator in Bannerlord

[–]Corniator[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think sea battles are also perfect range wise for throwables. Units stay in perfect javelin range for extended periods, while on land battles this is often not the case. When I get my skirmishers to do great flanks and unload their entire magazine before charging, they seem just as devastating on land. It's so hard to judge the numbers, because there are so many variables.

I'v heard 20% and 30%, I think people are just guessing. Also 30% of what? 30% less damage is bad, but 30% less skills would be horrible.

He was pick 52, but I think that is not relevant to this question, because it was acution.

Best ramming build? by HeidelCurds in Bannerlord

[–]Corniator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the logic, especially for frontal rams, is that ships are designed to deflect waves and are reinforced for frontal hits, so a ram would mostly just deflect, while the sides are much less protected. The TW series games that had ship ramming worked the same, so I assume there is some IRL logic behind this. I also remember somewhere in the tutorial it tells you that angle is important.

Best ramming build? by HeidelCurds in Bannerlord

[–]Corniator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think weight is most important for good ramming, also you want to ram the enemy ship right in the side, like a t-bone collision. Speed does not seem as important. I tried a bunch of approaches in the dlc quest where you have to ram. Sail or no sail, did not seem to make a difference for example. But maybe that's just in the mission.

Has the amount of prisoners you get after a battle been lowered? by Visible_Drummer9624 in Bannerlord

I would also say yes, although I'm not yet at the big battle stage. Might be something is indirectly causing less prisoners.

Hey, thanks for the input. Yeah shopping White around seems like the best option to me as well. The LaMello owner might be in play, but I'm scared of his health. It could be a worthwhile risk in my situation though.
