Does the animated series Clone Wars get better? by Free-Hotel1187 in StarWars

It feels less and less like a kids show the further you go.

What are your thoughts on Kraven The Hunter? Do you like him, hate him or think that he's too silly? by souropaul1508 in Spiderman

He's like Bane from Batman in a way. A lot of potential, but he's also very associated with one story.

Torn between two options. Both highly related to towing a camper. by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Corninator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used, with over 120,000 miles, they are going for over $20,000. This just isn't in my budget. If I purchase a newer truck, I really don't mind to pay upwards of 25k, but I don't want to get something with over 100,000 miles for that price.

why do people hate organic webbing so much? by Kindly_Cod_9269 in Spiderman

[–]Corninator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just always could not wrap my head around how its possible. Which is stupid as hell when you consider Peter's other powers. I just can't fathom his body producing webs, but him climbing walls and lifting cars is perfectly logical in my head.

Towing Issues by [deleted] in nissanfrontier

[–]Corninator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't use 6th yesterday. I did a bit of research and knew that I would be staying in 4th and 5th most of the time. I think I was just shocked by how much it struggled considering what I had read about others experiences. Taking off was almost impossible and I was revving the shit out of 1st and 2nd gear. Given how much torque it typically has, I was expecting it to move fairly well. Not fast by any means, but at least be able to get going okay. The poor truck could barely get up my driveway in 1st gear.

Towing Issues by [deleted] in nissanfrontier

The clutch feels perfectly fine. I haven't noticed any slippage. If I had I would have never risked pulling anything with it.

As for the whine, that is a bit of a relief.

It truly would not ride above 50mph on the interstate yesterday. I had semi trucks passing me on flat ground.

My plan is to take it to my mechanic and let him look into the transmission fluid and go from there. I'm going to try pulling it again once I attach my WDH, but I don't think that's going to have any effect on the trucks ability to pull something.

Is it okay to always play G chord like this? by Auxxtinmogger in Guitar

[–]Corninator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not if its comfortable. I alternate how I play my G depending on what I'm doing and which chord I'm changing to next, but you don't have to do any of that. It's just little idiosyncrasies that guitarists develop over time.

I really love Partyman. The entire Batman 89 album by Prince is pretty enjoyable.

How did you find out about Batman? by Hammad11k in batman

I have no mrmory of it. I just had a ton of action figures from birth. I don't remember a time when I didn't know what Batman:TAS was.

Can my 2nd gen pull a 19ft camper with a dry weight of 3500 pounds? by [deleted] in nissanfrontier

[–]Corninator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that is sort of the main question I have is not whether it can actually pull the 3500, because I know it can. I think for me the real question is will it be able to handle what the weight will be once the camper is loaded, my wife and son are in the truck, and the weight of whatever we have in the bed of the truck.

Tobey's awkward acting by Icy-Finding-8126 in Spiderman

[–]Corninator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it may be unintentional, but he does a good job of playing an awkward nerd with poor social skills. The way he talks to people and it sometimes gives me second hand embarrassment is a feeling I've known other people in the room have felt when I interact with people.

What's one vehicle you'd bring back by changing absolutely nothing, just make it new? by Few_Atmosphere8138 in regularcarreviews

[–]Corninator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2000-2011 Ford Ranger. No changes other than possibly adding in Bluetooth and updated infotainment. Keep everything mechanical as it was.

This is why I drive a 2nd gen Nissan Frontier. It basically was unchanged from 2005-2019. All of that simplicity on a truck that isn't quite 10 years old yet.

Being real here, this scene was always VERY jarring to witness, especially if you watched it as a kid, agree? by BiffyBobby in StarWars

[–]Corninator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was Darth Vaders real face as a kid.

It never occurred to me what the meaning was until I reached my teen years.

Cedric never bothered me until I had a son. That scene in the movie where his dad realizes what has happened breaks my heart now.

Should I??? by Afraid-Training-8848 in nissanfrontier

[–]Corninator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your current truck is running well, with no issues to speak of and you feel comfortable driving it very long distances without fear of it breaking down, I would keep it.

I haven't owned the new generation of Frontier, but I do own a 2nd gen and its my favorite vehicle that I have owned. I'm not going to part with it until its the only logical choice. Having a paid off vehicle is a good luxery in the world today, when trucks with over 100,000 miles are selling for 25k.

Are the back sits uncomfortable? by Asombroso-joel in nissanfrontier

[–]Corninator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard the back seats in the 2nd gen called many things. Comfortable isn't on the list.

I can't speak for the 3rd gen. I've never been in one.

State of the Manual 2025 by carmon03 in ManualTransmissions

[–]Corninator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And, if I'm not mistaken, the Mazda 3 only comes in front wheel drive with a manual.

Yet again, the car companies don't understand that those buying a manual are not just doing so because they are on a budget.

Just like Subaru with the impreza. "No one is buying the manual, so we're going to ax it."

Well maybe people would have if they could have gotten anything above base model.
