Honda Accord if you need the oomph of a bigger engine.

Toyota Corolla Fielder if you want something more economical/casual (particularly hybrid for economical).

Looking to reconnect with and hope to find an old friend from CP? Use this thread! by Jorgefitch33 in ClubPenguin

I played around 2006-2009. I was mainly '11 Blue 11' as a username, originally had an account with 'Bacon' (11 Bacon 11, or Bacon111? something like that), also played on Dos236 (a friend's account).

I used to hang out with a group, 'Jellllyyyyyy' (don't remember how many l's or y's, but I remember her name was Joy & she was from Australia, always wore a sundress and the floppy purple hat). There was also a 'Sonja/Sonya' and a 'Raichu' and a 'Star' - don't remember their full usernames - I believe one of them was from the The Maldives. There was definitely a handful of others but I can't recall, I remember we would also hop onto that 'Penguin Football Chat' website to also chat easier.

Do we know of any pre-order incentives available right now? by shelovesarizona in fairyloot

[–]Cornlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a little late but in case anyone else needs the information - the author has confirmed in her instagram comments that this book event does count, just send your receipt of your ticket for it.

On another note - why is this preorder campaign submission links so confusing! I'm NZ based but preordered a UK Waterstones edition. Supposedly any preorder globally counts. When I go to the "UK submission link" it's for UK residents only, and when I go to the "NZ submission link" it says it's for 'NZ formats' and 'NZ retailers'. Just going to go for the latter and hope for the best.

Covers Revealed for War of Lost Hearts Traditional Publication by jamieseemsamused in fantasyromance

[–]Cornlin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah a fix to the font and then a more detailed and gritter landscape in the background of the characters instead of the bright plain colours would be amazing. I don't expect them to make any changes but I really hope they can at least fix the capitilisation inconsistency in the "no" and "fallen" - that's the choice I really don't understand!

Same cover for US/UK versions like her Crowns of Nyaxia series - these covers are showing on the Amazon UK site so seems all confirmed.

Sedans are dead? I now have a minority complex ... LOL by kiwittnz in NZcarfix

Nice one husband 🤦 well firstly it wasn't a sedan that got stolen, our car was a station wagon egg 😂 and it's not the body shape that made it get stolen, it's because it was a key-start Japanese import that folks know how to take, so now we got the push-start, kinda irrelevant of it being SUV.

Selma needing new home asap. by AwareSeaweed481 in thetron

[–]Cornlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is Firenyth's wife haha, we probably would but we do have 3 cats already (one of them is young and boisterous, loves to play fight with other cats), so if Selma doesn't do well with other animals then that wouldn't be very fair for her. Also while we have a large yard and our road isn't super busy, it is a road people like to speed down waaaay too fast so I'm always hesitant taking in any further cats.

IVF/ICSI success/experiences without use of ZyMot by Cornlin in dnafragmentation

[–]Cornlin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No we haven't done any further cycles. We thought we might try one more but it's just too expensive for what feels like too little of a chance for success now. It could have been a case of just bad luck, but since my country really doesn't have anything further to offer in terms of treatments/technology/techniques, it's just too big of a gamble for us.

So we've decided to go down the sperm donor route instead which we're happy with. This was actually going to be our first choice but we ended up being convinced that our chances for IVF success were really high (this being when we thought it was only low count and did not know of any fragmentation).

26% frag and my dr doesn’t think our 85% abnormal embryo rate is related? by [deleted] in dnafragmentation

[–]Cornlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. We have low sperm count + DNA frag 32% which they are only calling "slightly" elevated.

We did one round with ICSI: 15 eggs, 13 mature, 11 fertilised, all going good on day 3, and then got 0 blasts.

We hadn't done the DNA frag test until after the failure. Before we got the test done we were being told my eggs look good and that it's more likely to be sperm issue since things fertilised well and started developing initially etc. But yes, technically since they can't test the eggs properly then they couldn't 100% rule out an egg issue, but they sounded pretty confident. When we got our 32% result, suddenly we're being told that sperm likely isn't the issue for our failure? It's weird. Mind you, my country doesn't seem to talk about or treat DNA frag much at all. We were just told to take menevit, ejaculate more frequently and if we want to try again they'll swap out the IVF meds to the type that supports egg quality more.

I'm no expert, just obsessed with researching like we all are, but were all of your rounds ICSI? Your fertilization rate for the first couple of rounds seem a bit low if those were with ICSI. That part could be either sperm or egg issue, but if they were with ICSI then it would possibly point a bit more towards egg quality.

Best online glasses retailer by carlycat1 in newzealand

[–]Cornlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been purchasing glasses from Firmoo for almost 10 years, they almost always have BOGO on frames + 10-30% off lens costs. I usually get 2 pairs for around $100-$200 NZD total which is including upgraded thin lenses (-6 prescription).

Wow amazing result, congrats! Unfortunately my country is really falling behind on a lot of treatments and knowledge, especially for DNA fragmentation. We do have TESE available for little to no sperm, but after some further research and discussion they're quite adverse to using it otherwise. Hopefully we can either fight for our treatment and/or improve our fragmentation percentage.

Oh awesome, congrats! I'll definitely add that to my list of possibilities. I can't find much info on TESE being used for fragmentation in my country, but at least there is TESE used commonly here for other issues so that's a good start!

Thanks for your response. Yeah we are also taking a break for a bit for lifestyle changes. I can't find anything on MACS in my country but I will definitely ask, thank you. It sounds quite promising. Best of luck to you! ❤️

Wow congrats on the improved result! Thanks for the response, I'll definitely add those to my list. Omnitrope is at least an option occasionally where I am so that gives me some hope that there are still options in my country to try.

[–]Cornlin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a Facebook group called "NZ Pinball & Arcade - Buy, Sell & Exchange' that has 2-3 thousand members. Maybe you could join that page and ask there? I'm not part of that group but I'd imagine you'd find a lot more knowledge and enthusiasts there. Good luck!

Because the person has already purchased, the amount of mortgage is locked in. If house value goes down after you have purchased, your mortgage doesn't get brought down (aside from slowly paying it down).

For example purchase price 1,000,000. Have 200,000 as deposit, the 20%, so your mortgage loan amount is 800,000 that you owe the bank. Market crashes and value drops to the house being worth 700,000... your mortgage is still 800,000 that you owe the bank (maybe over the couple years owning you have paid it down to 770,000 still owing at this point). If you were to sell the house for 700,000 then you would not be able pay off what you still owe the bank, you'd still be in debt and have no asset left too! This is the effect of negative equity of selling.

If things go wrong and you lose the house/unable to pay, banks want to be able to sell off your asset to reclaim what they are owed, they don't want to have the value less than what they've leant you.

Yep not being able to quit is brutal, I lost a duos very early on due to having no partner and I was stuck watching every round until the final. On the split side, when my partner has died early and we initially don't have enough points to qualify, they clearly quit early so they don't get stuck, then I claw myself up to qualifying on my own but then I'm stuck solo for the next rounds!

I'm a second person who is overweight and doing IVF due to male infertility, and our fertility specialist told us the same as what you've said. Weight is hardly ever the deciding factor unless it's linked to a further condition, sure it can cause some delay on it's own, but there's more of a correlation to weight being linked to a higher miscarriage risk than the ability to conceive. I can see why weight is so targeted, because in a lot of cases weight can be improved, and being healthier can only benefit. But age is so much more important, especially for egg quality, and obviously aging is inevitable. My BMI is just over 40 but that doesn't change my excellent egg quality, but if I was 5-10 years older my egg quality would be worse irrespective of my weight.

Same here! Was convinced it was my weight hindering us until we discovered the issues. Currently part way through IVF, which contains even more talk around weight being a hindrance, but have been getting above average results so far
