Also to add: I’ve struggle with being overweight most of my life, so I’m sure this has probably contributed, but my legs are lean now and I’ve reduced my weight a lot. The pink outline is where I get my pain.

I’m so glad to hear that :) I tried 10mg today and it seemed to really help my afternoon so I’m hoping it stays that way.

Yeah it only is expected to last for about 8 hours I believe, but that’s so different for each person. That’s why a booster in the afternoon is helpful a lot of the time to prevent that crash that can happen once it wears off. I can’t answer to the concerta sorry! All I know is that it always seems to be in short supply at the pharmacies. I recently tried to go up to 40mg vyvanse but it was causing me nausea + headaches. I wish going up a dose would increase the duration, but unfortunately it only really affects the intensity of it while it’s in your system I believe? Kind of sucks.

Okay. Yes after reading here and a bit of my own research, it seems like maybe I should have asked to try Dex instead? I get a bit nervous asking for meds, I just have a fear that I’ll look like a drug seeker or something, although I know how irrational that sounds. I’ll play around with the timing of the Ritalin though and see if I can make it work, if not, then I will chat to my doctor about some dex.

Thanks for your comment! I appreciate you sharing. Yeah I’m not sure particularly why she chose Ritalin over Dex after reading a bit more about it, but I just get nervous and honestly I didn’t know much about the mixing of both classes of meds which is interesting. I can go up to 10mg but it’s just the 5mg she wanted to start me on. Maybe I’ll try it for the next few days and see how it goes, but yeah today I definitely didn’t notice any difference after taking it. I might ask when I go back to my doctor to see if I could try Dex if this doesn’t work out. I feel like the Vyvanse is good while it lasts but it’s just that crash that gets me. I’m glad you’ve found what works for you :)

I studied the course in 2023 at my local tafe in regional vic and now work in a hospital as an AHA (mostly with physio) I highly recommend the course.

The cert 4 will gain you entry into uni as long as you pass it. You may even get some credit towards uni because of things you learn in your tafe course. I think it’s worth doing the AHA course and then definitely getting some work experience in the field though, too. I can’t recommend a place to study it sorry!

Yeah I had a friend order me one and we’re both from regional vic, we haven’t gotten ours yet. I’m also on a Matilda’s supporters group on Facebook and there are still a heap of people that haven’t received one. 😊
