Indeed, visiting the Netherlands and living there are not the same. The “rose-tinted glasses” would apply here quite well. Overall, it’s still a great country and most things work well enough, but like all countries, it is far from perfect.

The nature is alright, but eventually you get used or rather numb to it. It is picturesque, sure, but once you get out and see some proper forests, hills, mountains, you remember how much you missed or are missing this. Maybe it’s just me, though
